• The British artist I chose to research was Jessie J, a popular singer who is known
for her amazing vocal range.
• Although she was officially a soul singer, Jessie J records more pop and R&B
songs with hip hop influences.
• Using YouGov I was able to determine her target audience under the different
categories: Demographics, lifestyle, personality, brands, entertainment, online and
media.

3. DEMOGRAPHICS
YouGov says that the typical target
audience for Jessie J are female 18 -24
year olds with a social grade C2DE.

4. LIFESTYLE
Jessie J fans tend to watch television, play
poker, enjoy figure skating and most likely
have a dog according to YouGov.

5. PERSONALITY
Jessie J’s target audience would describe themselves as ‘interesting
yet quick tempered’ and ‘more of a night owl than a morning
person’.

6. BRANDS
YouGov states that Jessie J fans are a customer of Superdrug, like
vans brand and do their grocery shopping at the Co- Operative.

7. ENTERTAINMENT
Fans of Jessie J enjoy romantic comedies, talent contests
and like Zac Efron and Katy Perry.
