1. 1969 – Started Automotive Engineering Trade with P.M.G. (Four year Apprenticeship)
2. 1970 – Selected into Engine Reconditioning – Workshop based, including OEM courses.
3. 1973 to 1975 – Started Heavy Vehicle and Plant Mechanic internal training, including
CAT, CUMMINS, DETROIT, MACK, PERKINS, LEYLAND, FORD, CASE, INTERNATIONAL
training at OEMworkshops.
4. 1976 to 1980 – Senior Mechanic Plant equipment, specialising in engine reconditioning.
5. 1981 to 1983 – Trade Repair Officer – Specialising in engine reconditioning.
6. 1983 to 1996 – Foreman Auto/Plant National Optical Fibre Installation – Oversee several
plant mechanics across Australia, maintaining and servicing automotive light and heavy
trucks and plant equipment, including specialist hydraulic and engineering training.
7. 1996 to 1998 – JCB and Kato plant equipment service coordinator.
8. 1998 to 2005 – SMS Diesel Spares – Oversee the largest diesel engine reconditioning
plant in NSW, coordinate training and product development as the company
Automotive Engineer – Warranty, Customer Service and legal representative. Also
worked with Engine Reconditioning as Technical Advisor.
9. 2005 to 2011 – Hitachi Construction Equipment Technical Trainer for Hitachi CE and
John Deere CE, also advisor to Hitachi Engine reconditioning plant in Adelaide for
Mitsubishi 12 & 16 cylinder Diesel engines, selected for John Deere diesel engine
specialist some 30 odd engines, selected for Isuzu engine training in Japan, received
training in Cummins QSK and MTU diesel engine training up to 4,000 horsepower.
10. 2011 – Contracted to Subaru as technical trainer, specialising in Diesel Engine training.
11. 2012 – Contracted to Bridgestone for Apprentice training automotive light CERT 111 and
CERT 11 tyre fitting.
12. 2013 – Contracted to I.A.M.E as technical trainer and Engine specialist, including Engine
based technical articles for trade magazines.

Throughout my career I have involved in engineering reconditioning and alternative fuel and
development, I also still work engineering reconditioning equipment and rebuild a number of
petrol and diesel engines.
I received recognition for my skills in the engine reconditioning industry, when selected to be a
technical advisor at the Australian and New Zealand Engine reconditioning conference at
Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
During the 3 day conference I delivered a number of Technical presentations for the members.
