Waste Management (MSWM) in Ranchi and Dhanbad (Jharkhand) -
My responsibility was to monitor the on-site and off-site activities leading to revision
of Detailed Project Reports w.r.t MSWM. The DPR consisted of revised
comprehensive SWM system with equipments, vehicles, treatment methods, sanitary
land filling, cost estimates, financial framework, institutional framework, capacity
building etc.
 Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Solid Waste Management in Panaji
(Goa) -
Was the key person of contact managing on-site and off-site activities. On-site
activities included regular meetings with client for providing updates, primary waste
generation surveys by employing a local surveying agency, secondary data collection
from different offices related to MSWM etc. Off-site activities included data collation,
data feeding, data analysis, data presentation, report writing, preparation of cost
estimates, getting product specifications and quotations from various vendors,
overseeing the working drawing preparation etc.

 Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Solid Waste Management in Leh
(J&K) under JnNURM –
As a team, visited Leh, J&K for a duration of 15 days. Conducted secondary data
collection from the ULB and different offices, overseen the primary waste survey
done at houses, restaurants, hotels, conducted waste surveys at main markets,
collected information on existing secondary storage infrastructure and meetings with
officials of ULB. I was also involved in off-site works such as collation of data, feeding
of data, data analysis, data presentation, preparation of cost estimates, designing of
sanitary landfill, overseeing the working drawing preparation, report writing etc.
 Preparation of Detailed Project Reports for Solid Waste Management in Damoh
and Katni (Madhya Pradesh) under UIDSSMT – As a team, visited Damoh and
Katni in Madhya Pradesh for a duration of 15 days together. Overseen the primary
waste survey work, conducted meetings with officials of ULB and reconnaissance
survey of the towns. Collected secondary data from various sources and off-site
works such as data collation, data feeding, data analysis, data presentation, report
writing, Sanitary Landfill design, preparation of cost estimates for various facilities,
overseeing the working drawing preparation etc.
 Preparation of Conservation Plan for twin lakes of Mokokchung (Nagaland) –
As a team, visited Mokokchung town in Nagaland for a duration of 3 days. Conducted
reconnaissance survey of both the lakes, collected water samples for chemical and
biological tests and interacted with the officials of the town. Off-site activities included
preparation of drawings pertaining to existing conditions and various catchment area
treatment (CAT) proposals. Also involved in report writing, preparation of cost
estimates for various facilities/interventions, design of waste stabilization pond as per
the existing norms and standards prescribed by CPHEEO (MoUD) etc.
 Three phases of monitoring and preparation of Ground water monitoring report
for surroundings of GE’s defunct plant at Nadiad (Gujarat) –
Involved in the Ground water monitoring of surroundings of GE’s defunct plant at
Nadiad, Gujarat continuously for 3 phases spread over one and half years. Two
phases were post monsoon monitoring a one was pre-monsoon monitoring.
Overseen the survey of 32 wells including open wells and bore wells within a radius
of 5 Km around the defunct plant. The samplings had taken almost 2 days to
complete. Off-site works included collation of data, data feeding, data analysis
(comparing the concentration of various parameters w.r.t relevant Indian and
International standards), data presentation, report writing, drawings etc.
 Information Education and Communication (IEC) for effective Solid Waste
Management in 7 towns of Haryana and 8 towns of Uttar Pradesh under YAP-II
–
As a team, visited Faridabad, Gurgaon, Jagadhri and Yamuna Nagar in Haryana for
conducting reconnaissance surveys regarding the existing solid waste management
system, meetings with the officials of the ULBs and public representatives, secondary
data collection from various offices etc. In case of Uttar Pradesh IEC.
As a team, visited Mathura, Vrindavan and Noida in Uttar Pradesh for conducting
reconnaissance surveys of towns, secondary data collection regarding existing SWM
system, primary surveys of houses, shops and meetings with officials of the ULBs,

public representatives such as Mayor, Chairman, Councilors. Overseen primary
waste survey work executed by local surveying agencies.
Off-site works included data collation, data feeding, data analysis, data presentation,
report writing etc.
 Visited ICI industry's unit at Panki site, Kanpur for conducting training for
employees on BS OHSAS: 180001
As a team, visited ICI industry’s Plant at Panki, Kanpur to give training to employees
on BS OHSAS 18001.
