Education Services
 Member of Academic Council from 16th March 2015.The Academic Council is the
Principal Academic Authority of the University and is chaired by the Vice-
Chancellor. it comprises, typically, of around 101 members. The Academic Council is
responsible for laying down, regulating, and maintaining the standards of teaching,
research, extension and examinations in the University.
 Head of Examination – Duties involve setting up policies on student assessment,
evaluation of continuous assessment process, Conduct central processing of external
examinations. Address grievances regarding examination policy, evaluation and use
of unfair means.
 Head of Placements – Duties involve building strategic partnerships with various
public research institutes and private corporations. Develop collaborative programs,
student internship programs and placement.
 Member of Board of Studies- Duties involve development of new programs, conduct
curriculum evaluation and Development of existing programs. Facilitate scholarship
and research in the curriculum.
 Coordinator for International Student Cell – Duties includes deliberation of matters
regarding International Students. Facilitate acclimatization of international students
through orientation programs in collaboration with various state and central
government agencies. . Provide assistance and counseling to international students.

Anderson level II classification scheme in collaboration with Ohio EPA team.
 Incorporated hierarchical layered approach and sophisticated algorithms using ENVI

 Developed accuracy assessment protocol using field data and high resolution satellite

Department of Geography, University of Cincinnati Archeology (Dept. of Anthropology, UC), Sep.2005-Sept 2006  Worked on a collaborative project with the Department of Anthropology.  Applied predictive models that are based on remotely-sensed characteristics of known archeological phenomena.  Evaluated the effectiveness of this remote sensing approach Land Cover (Ohio EPA), Oct. 2002-Sep. 2005  Worked as a research assistant on a collaborative project with Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  Developing statewide Land Cover classification product for the state of Ohio using satellite data (Funding: Ohio-EPA $ 333,930).  Developed image-processing methodology for classifying land cover using modified Anderson level II classification scheme in collaboration with Ohio EPA team.  Incorporated hierarchical layered approach and sophisticated algorithms using ENVI 4.0 and eCognition 4.0.  Developed sampling strategies for Data validation.  Developed accuracy assessment protocol using field data and high resolution satellite images.  Managed the time and resource guidelines throughout the project.  In addition worked as a coordinator between Department of Geography and Ohio EPA.
