Gondwana
Gondwana, the southern half of the ancient supercontinent Pangea and a supercontinent in its own right, was composed of the continents and
landmasses that we now call Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian
subcontinent. A supercontinent is a large landmass that is made up of several continents and a subcontinent is a large distinguishable part of a
continent, an example being the part of Asia which contains India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Gondwana was first formed between 570–510 Mya
(million years ago) and then combined with another supercontinent, Laurasia, to form Pangea. It then split from Pangea between 280–200 Mya, with
different resources stating different timeframes for this split. Around 180–165 Mya, Gondwana started to split and the continents started drifting to
where they are today. Back when Gondwana existed, the climate on Earth was milder than what it is today and the average temperature was
significantly higher than the average temperature on Earth now. As a result of this climate, much of Gondwana was covered in lush temperate
rainforests. The geological event that caused these continents to combine together and split apart from each other is called continental drift. The
Continental Drift Theory explains how continents can move along the...show more content...
It was a part of Pangea before splitting from it and then it started splitting apart. It consisted of Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar, Australia,
New Zealand, the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian subcontinent. It split apart 180–165 Mya due to continental drift. Scientists have been able to prove
this by studying the shapes of the continents, fossils, rocks and glacial deposits. And as they have for countless years, the continents are still drifting
today and will continue drifting for the rest of our lives and beyond, maybe even forming another supercontinent in the

Essay about Sampling
Sampling
Carrying out a survey of every single potential consumer (known as population) of a firm's product would be impractical, time–consuming and costly.
Businesses still, however, need to collect enough primary data to have a clear idea of the views of consumers. This can be done by taking a sample of
the population. This sample group should be made up of consumers that are representative of all potential buyers of the product. There are a number of
ways in which a sample can be chosen.
Random Sampling
This method gives each member of a group an equal chance of being chosen. In other words, the sample is selected at random, rather like picking
numbers out of a hat. Today computers can...show more content...
So, if the business was interested in how 'class' affected consumers' demand for a food product, it might divide the population up into different class
groups, such as working class males, middle class females etc. A random sample could then be chosen from each of these groups by making sure that
they were the same proportions of the sample in each category as in population as a whole. So if the population had 10 per cent upper class males, so
would the sample.
Quota Sampling
This sampling method involves the population being segmented into a number of groups which share specific characteristics. These may be based
on the age and the sex of the population. Interviewers are then given targets for the number of people out of each segment who they must interview.
For example, and interviewer may be asked to interview 10 males between the ages of 18 and 25, or 15 females between the ages of 45 and 60. Once
the target is reached, no more people from that group are interviewed. The advantage of this sampling method is that it can be cheaper to operate than
many of the others. It is also useful where the proportions of the different groups within the population are known. However, results from quota
sampling are not statistically representative of the population and are not randomly chosen. They must therefore be treated with caution.
Cluster Sampling
This involves

Essay about Crime
Crime
In general the definition of a crime is an act punishable by law, usually considered an evil act. Crime refers to many types of misconduct forbidden
by law. Crimes include such things as murder, stealing a car, resisting arrest, possession or dealing of illegal drugs, being nude in public , drunk
driving, and bank robbery. Crime is an act that has been timeless and has been committed practically since the start of time. For example, ever since
Cain killed his brother Abel (B.C.), people being charged with witchcraft in the 1600's, prostitution, to the current crimes of modern day(A.D.). Even
though crime has existed throughout time it has progressed and branched out taking many types forms....show more content...
Crimes are frequently classified according to their seriousness as felonies or misdemeanors. Generally, felonies are more serious than misdemeanors.
Under the federal criminal law system, felonies are crimes for which the punishment is death or imprisonment for more than a year. Amisdemeanor is
punishable by a fine or by imprisonment for less than a year. In most states persons convicted of felonies are sent to state prisons, while those guilty of
misdemeanors serve their sentence in city, or county jails, or correction houses.
Crimes against people include assault, kidnapping, murder, and sexual attacks. Such crimes usually bring severe punishments. Crimes against property
include arson, automobile theft, burglary, embezzlement, forgery, fraud, larceny, and vandalism. In most cases, these crimes carry lighter penalties
than the crimes set against the person. Robbery is the crime most difficult to classify. The law considers robbery a crime against the person or against
the property, according to the case. Robbery may involve simply stealing property from another person, but when a personal encounter occurs between
the robber and his victim, it may include violence and bodily harm. This usually occurs during muggings or other strong–arm robberies.

Essay on My Family History
My Family History
Family history is very important to an individual. By knowing where you come from, you can have a better perspective of your life. Having a clear
understanding of your family background allows you to better appreciate the things that you would normally take for granted. The house, the car, and
the average clothing may look better when one sees the sacrifices their family has made. They will see that their family has worked very hard just so
their family can experience the better things in life. A persons roots and origin is one of the most important things to explore. It alone can bring you
closer to self–discovery.

One of these is that on Thanksgiving everybody comes together to my parents' house in New Jersey for a huge feast. On Christmas only my mother and
the children (me and my brother) travel to Illinois to spend a week with my grandparents. On New Years Eve we all get together at my parents'
house in New Jersey and toast to the New Year with champagne and apple cider. During Labor Day weekend all of my family travels to South
Jersey to my grandfathers' condo. We usually spend all of our time on the beach and barbequing, except on Sunday when we go to church. After
all, my grandfather is a minister. One of our biggest family traditions is going back to Puerto Rico. Every year my mother and I travel back to
Puerto Rico for a portion of our summer vacation. Now that I am older I travel there more often and stay there much longer. My father never joins
because he doesn't like my mothers side of the father too much and he thinks that we when we speak Spanish we are all plotting against him. Of
course that's not true though. My bother doesn't speak Spanish so he doesn't like to go either. I guess that tradition is one that belongs solely to my
mother and I.
The role of the people in family basically stayed the same for most of the generations with a little change in the later generations. Earlier the males
were the only ones that worked in the family and the wife stayed at home and took care of the house and

Essay on Decision Making
Decision making can be described as a process of making a decision or decisions, based on choices made amongst two or more competing course of
actions. The 'Decision making' also requires making a define choice between two or more alternatives course of actions that are available. In every
decision making, there is said to be a positive and negative outcome as future consequence(s). The importance of decision making in individual daily
life and in organization level was demonstrated by two scientists, Arkes and Hammond (1992), in 'Judgment and Decision making' indentified the four
types of information which decision maker requires constructing a decision tree. 1.What are the available courses of action(s)? 2.What are the...show

Psychologist Herbert Simon further established and categorized decisions into two categories; Programmed Decisions and Non–Programmed Decision.
Programmed decisions are type of decisions which are routine and repetitive, of which are within the frame work of organization policies and rules.
Such polices rules are established in advance to solve a re– occurring problems within the organization. Such programmed decisions are usually taken
at lower management level and tends to have a short–run impact on organization. In contrast, the Non– Programmed decisions which are type of
decisions which are non–routine and deployed to resolve non–routine problems, they are relevant in solving unique and unusual problems that arises, of
which the alternatives cannot be decided in advance. Non–Programmed decisions are usually of high importance and significance with long–term
consequences on organizations, such decisions are decided at the top management level. A model of decision making known as the Rational Decision
Making Model arises from organization behavior. This includes working through series of five stages path from problem identification and to the
solutions. 1.Define the problem. 2.Identify the decision criteria. 3.Compare each option against pre–determined criteria. 4.Select the best option
5.Implement the best chosen option. The Rational Decision Making Model

1.1a ExercisePhysical inactivity is one of the modifiable risk factor for the coronary heart diseases (Devries et al, 2011), and therefore exercise is
used as an integral component of the primary and secondary prevention in reducing mortality and improving the quality of life. Upon reviewing the
literature, the author found that, patients' perspective about physical exercise differs widely. In their study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased
awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event, help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health
benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the
condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise and,
therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the
supervision of the trained staff increases the confidence of patients in participating exercise (Morken et al, 2013). The study also found that, the patient
increases their self–confidence level in performing exercise, after seeing the health improvements in the former cardiac patients (Morken et al, 2013).

Adult Development & Psychotherapy
I believe that adult development theory is not sufficiently emphasized in our psychology and counseling training schools. This is unfortunate, because
I believe it offers a unique and helpful perspective to the task of psychotherapy. Because I wish to offer to my prospective patients some idea of the
importance of this topic, and how it informs my clinical practice, I offer below a synopsis of the theory and its development.
In a most fundamental sense, development in adulthood is about getting older. Traditional psychotherapy looks at how our adult emotional lives are
rooted in childhood and infancy. But what happens when the child becomes an adult? Is adulthood only the...show more content...
Losses throughout our lives, when understood and lived through consciously, prepare us for the inevitability of all the losses yet to come. Perhaps the
greatest loss of our lives will be the moment of our own death. At this point the ego must surrender everything. Yet paradoxically it is precisely this
awareness, that we are mortal, that allows us to truly live. Sartre wrote that "we cannot begin to understand being until we understand non–being." We
cannot understand life until we have understood death. Those of us in midlife have a fundamentally different awareness of death than we did in our
twenties. We may have experienced the loss of a loved one close to us or we may simply be aware that our colleague at work has lost his father–in–law,
but by the time we are middle aged we are confronted by the inevitability of our own mortality. This awareness, the deep psychological knowledge of
our own inevitable death, is the key difference between the midlife transition and other transitions throughout the life cycle.

What is ergonomics? Ergonomics is the science of fitting the job to the worker. When there is a mismatch between the physical requirements of the job

My Teaching Philosophy Essay
My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and
teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college.
Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack
for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they
will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show

The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not
only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore
different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made
repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are
not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized
themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his
or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student
recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the
teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more

Reflection Of My Teaching Experience
Teaching is not just a job that I perform because I expect a reward at the end of each month; it is my passion and I feel extremely satisfied with every

with them and motivate them to lead them to find inspiration in learning. I use different strategies to engage them and share with them the knowledge.

the practicum course to support teachers. I believe that AUD has formed an enthusiastic teaching and learning community.
I learned a tremendous amount of information and experiences since my enrollment in the ME program. I learned to be flexible, remain open to

credit of all of that to the reflection strategy.
During my learning experience, I had the opportunity to re–skill myself and learn new strategies to support my mission as a teacher. Recently, the

Essay On Mexico City Earthquake
For my current events paper, I chose to write about the earthquake that hit Mexico City, I selected an article from Houston public media news titled

the first earthquake hit the capital, sending distress throughout the city , and breaking record as the most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in a

Essay On Counselling
Counselling is a talking therapy that involves an interactive relationship of client and counsellor (Geldard & Geldard, 2009a). Counselling offers
opportunities for clients to talk to the counsellor about their problems and feelings in a confidential environment. A counsellor generally helps the
clients to see things from a different perspective and find their own solutions based on their own beliefs. The primary purpose of counselling is to
enable the clients to develop a better understanding of self and be able to make changes to cope with difficulties in their lives, by reaching their own
decisions and act upon them accordingly to develop a satisfying life (Geldard & Geldard, 2009a). The self is a summation of a complex, dynamic and
organized system of learned beliefs that a person holds to be true about his own existence and this make human beings unique (Purkey & Stanley,
2001). Therefore, client–counsellor relationship is unique for each person. To ensure the effectiveness of counselling, Carl Rogers identified 3 desirable

the clients might expose their innermost thoughts and feelings to the

Minecraft is a game where the player uses their imagination to shape the world around them using the resources they find. In the world everything is

makes the story of Minecraft so unique is that it was created by Notch and only Notch. Notch had a job before Minecraft, working on games for a

comic strips about minecraft, leading to even further sales. Minecraft makes $250,000 a day and continues to do so. On June 13, 2011, Minecraft
passed 2.5 million sales. Today Mojang has 10 employees. Markus Persson, Jens Bergensten, Daniel Kaplan, Junkboy, Jakob Porser, Carl Manneh,
Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. These few people make up the team that continues to work towards
Minecraft's future. But with so few employees things take time. Even though the game has not been officially released, people who buy the game

critics, and even their own fans. One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1 hit wonder. What happens if it truly is a one hit
wonder? Will the company go down under? Will it be the end of Mojang? Will they join a publisher in order to stay afloat and lose their title of
"indie?" Another speculation concerns Mojang's next game that has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft, not even in the same genre. What if

Gondwana

  • 1. Gondwana Gondwana, the southern half of the ancient supercontinent Pangea and a supercontinent in its own right, was composed of the continents and landmasses that we now call Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian subcontinent. A supercontinent is a large landmass that is made up of several continents and a subcontinent is a large distinguishable part of a continent, an example being the part of Asia which contains India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Gondwana was first formed between 570–510 Mya (million years ago) and then combined with another supercontinent, Laurasia, to form Pangea. It then split from Pangea between 280–200 Mya, with different resources stating different timeframes for this split. Around 180–165 Mya, Gondwana started to split and the continents started drifting to where they are today. Back when Gondwana existed, the climate on Earth was milder than what it is today and the average temperature was significantly higher than the average temperature on Earth now. As a result of this climate, much of Gondwana was covered in lush temperate rainforests. The geological event that caused these continents to combine together and split apart from each other is called continental drift. The Continental Drift Theory explains how continents can move along the...show more content... It was a part of Pangea before splitting from it and then it started splitting apart. It consisted of Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian subcontinent. It split apart 180–165 Mya due to continental drift. Scientists have been able to prove this by studying the shapes of the continents, fossils, rocks and glacial deposits. And as they have for countless years, the continents are still drifting today and will continue drifting for the rest of our lives and beyond, maybe even forming another supercontinent in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay about Sampling Sampling Carrying out a survey of every single potential consumer (known as population) of a firm's product would be impractical, time–consuming and costly. Businesses still, however, need to collect enough primary data to have a clear idea of the views of consumers. This can be done by taking a sample of the population. This sample group should be made up of consumers that are representative of all potential buyers of the product. There are a number of ways in which a sample can be chosen. Random Sampling This method gives each member of a group an equal chance of being chosen. In other words, the sample is selected at random, rather like picking numbers out of a hat. Today computers can...show more content... So, if the business was interested in how 'class' affected consumers' demand for a food product, it might divide the population up into different class groups, such as working class males, middle class females etc. A random sample could then be chosen from each of these groups by making sure that they were the same proportions of the sample in each category as in population as a whole. So if the population had 10 per cent upper class males, so would the sample. Quota Sampling This sampling method involves the population being segmented into a number of groups which share specific characteristics. These may be based on the age and the sex of the population. Interviewers are then given targets for the number of people out of each segment who they must interview. For example, and interviewer may be asked to interview 10 males between the ages of 18 and 25, or 15 females between the ages of 45 and 60. Once the target is reached, no more people from that group are interviewed. The advantage of this sampling method is that it can be cheaper to operate than many of the others. It is also useful where the proportions of the different groups within the population are known. However, results from quota sampling are not statistically representative of the population and are not randomly chosen. They must therefore be treated with caution. Cluster Sampling

Due to the location of the stop this would put the male possibly running towards campus. I went towards the west side of campus to check for the male. • 5. Essay about Crime Crime In general the definition of a crime is an act punishable by law, usually considered an evil act. Crime refers to many types of misconduct forbidden by law. Crimes include such things as murder, stealing a car, resisting arrest, possession or dealing of illegal drugs, being nude in public , drunk driving, and bank robbery. Crime is an act that has been timeless and has been committed practically since the start of time. For example, ever since Cain killed his brother Abel (B.C.), people being charged with witchcraft in the 1600's, prostitution, to the current crimes of modern day(A.D.). Even though crime has existed throughout time it has progressed and branched out taking many types forms....show more content... Crimes are frequently classified according to their seriousness as felonies or misdemeanors. Generally, felonies are more serious than misdemeanors. Under the federal criminal law system, felonies are crimes for which the punishment is death or imprisonment for more than a year. Amisdemeanor is punishable by a fine or by imprisonment for less than a year. In most states persons convicted of felonies are sent to state prisons, while those guilty of misdemeanors serve their sentence in city, or county jails, or correction houses. Crimes against people include assault, kidnapping, murder, and sexual attacks. Such crimes usually bring severe punishments. Crimes against property include arson, automobile theft, burglary, embezzlement, forgery, fraud, larceny, and vandalism. In most cases, these crimes carry lighter penalties than the crimes set against the person. Robbery is the crime most difficult to classify. The law considers robbery a crime against the person or against the property, according to the case. Robbery may involve simply stealing property from another person, but when a personal encounter occurs between the robber and his victim, it may include violence and bodily harm. This usually occurs during muggings or other strong–arm robberies. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

During Labor Day weekend all of my family travels to South Jersey to my grandfathers' condo. We usually spend all of our time on the beach and barbequing, except on Sunday when we go to church. After all, my grandfather is a minister. One of our biggest family traditions is going back to Puerto Rico. Every year my mother and I travel back to Puerto Rico for a portion of our summer vacation. Now that I am older I travel there more often and stay there much longer. My father never joins because he doesn't like my mothers side of the father too much and he thinks that we when we speak Spanish we are all plotting against him. Of course that's not true though. My bother doesn't speak Spanish so he doesn't like to go either. I guess that tradition is one that belongs solely to my mother and I. The role of the people in family basically stayed the same for most of the generations with a little change in the later generations. In their study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event, help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the condition (Holder et al, 2015). Moreover, the current cardiac rehabilitation programme, made the patients aware of the health benefits of exercise and, therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). This is unfortunate, because I believe it offers a unique and helpful perspective to the task of psychotherapy. Because I wish to offer to my prospective patients some idea of the importance of this topic, and how it informs my clinical practice, I offer below a synopsis of the theory and its development. In a most fundamental sense, development in adulthood is about getting older. Traditional psychotherapy looks at how our adult emotional lives are rooted in childhood and infancy. Losses throughout our lives, when understood and lived through consciously, prepare us for the inevitability of all the losses yet to come. Perhaps the greatest loss of our lives will be the moment of our own death. At this point the ego must surrender everything. Yet paradoxically it is precisely this awareness, that we are mortal, that allows us to truly live. Sartre wrote that "we cannot begin to understand being until we understand non–being." We cannot understand life until we have understood death. Those of us in midlife have a fundamentally different awareness of death than we did in our twenties. We may have experienced the loss of a loved one close to us or we may simply be aware that our colleague at work has lost his father–in–law, but by the time we are middle aged we are confronted by the inevitability of our own mortality. This awareness, the deep psychological knowledge of our own inevitable death, is the key difference between the midlife transition and other transitions throughout the life cycle. • 13. My Teaching Philosophy Essay My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I believe that AUD has formed an enthusiastic teaching and learning community. I learned a tremendous amount of information and experiences since my enrollment in the ME program. I learned to be flexible, remain open to continuous learning, and improve my career. I am also learned about the importance of time and about the importance of education in our life. I give the credit of all of that to the reflection strategy. During my learning experience, I had the opportunity to re–skill myself and learn new strategies to support my mission as a teacher. Recently, the Practicum course has helped me live an authentic experience by transferring my learning and understanding into reality. I share knowledge, experience, and communication, which increase my awareness in a way to understand the change and implement new ways of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

They say that falling in love is wonderful, that you wouldn't mind it taking up your time and energy, that every bit and any kind of difficulty of the process would be worth it for it results to a great outcome. They say that when you're in love, it's a whole new world, new affection, new sense, new appreciation. Falling in love is a big event in life. I fell in love, and with this love I knew that I wanted this to be around for the rest of my life. I fell in love. Not with a person, but with the art of film making or video production. At the middle of my third year in high school, our class was split into two and both groups were tasked to make a short film as a final exam to be presented at the end of the school year. Everybody in the group that I was a part of immediately started brainstorming ideas and plots to make a great project. My friend and I suggested a suspense or thriller kind of plot which we had come up with right then and there, the group liked it and decided to go for our idea. Because of that, my friend and I were voted to lead the group in the production of the film. Though I have experienced making 3–10 minute video presentations beforehand, I was a bit nervous, knowing that we had to really prepare and lead the group...show more content... Being able to have written the story, coordinate and direct the shoots, and edit the whole thing had given me so many moments were I just wanted to say "Okay I've done so much, I'm tired, I quit." But just the fact that the whole thing was so much fun even if it was taking up so much of our time and energy was what made me realize that I wanted to do it no matter what circumstances were, not to mention the great feeling of accomplishment once the film was done and appreciated by those who've seen it. It's a really great feeling knowing that all of the long and tiring days and efforts produced an amazing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. M1 Abrams Tank Research Paper The topic of this paper will be a brief history on the production and combat operations of the M1 Abrams tank. A very versatile and combat effective piece of equipment added to the United States Army's inventory. It is young compared to the total age of the United Stated military, but it is a tried and true piece of equipment. The Chrysler Corporation has had ties to military tank development and production that go all the way to World War II. However, the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank came into production much later. In 1973, the Department of Defense realized it had a greater need for a new and improved tank model. Thus, the Chrysler Defense Division began developing tanks to compete with the M60. In 1976, the XM–1 prototype ...show more content... From the inception of its production in Lima, Ohio to its dominance on the battle field during the Gulf War and in Iraq during OIF. Essay On Mexico City Earthquake For my current events paper, I chose to write about the earthquake that hit Mexico City, I selected an article from Houston public media news titled "Mexico City Earthquake Update: All children accounted for" Mexico City suffered from two power earthquakes just 12 days apart. On September 7th, the first earthquake hit the capital, sending distress throughout the city , and breaking record as the most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in a century. Then again on September the 19th Mexico suffered another earthquake which took place approximately 100 miles from Mexico City. Officials were finally able to report that there were no longer any missing children at a Mexico City school that had been severely damaged "We've done an accounting with school officials, and we are certain that all the children either died, unfortunately, are in the hospital or are safe at their homes," (pt.3, Sarmiento 2017) "he said 19 children and six adults were killed in the school...show more content... "Scientist say strong earthquakes can sometimes alter stresses nearby, leading to subsequent quakes." (p.4, Stevens 2017) Natural disasters are based on many things, but I think the single most important is physical geography, or location. If you lived in the drier parts of california, then you would be more prone to wildfires. If you lived in alaska, then you would be more prone to avalanches. Unfortunately for those who lived in Mexico, where the North American and pacific plate meet and create transform plate boundary making it a prime location for earthquakes. Mexico is located on something scientists call a subduction zone plate boundary. "Subduction zones are the part of the earth where one slab of the crust is slowly sliding under another"(pt.6, Stevens 2017) in simpler terms when two plate boundaries meet at a subduction zone, earthquakes are like a ticking time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Essay On Counselling Counselling is a talking therapy that involves an interactive relationship of client and counsellor (Geldard & Geldard, 2009a). Counselling offers opportunities for clients to talk to the counsellor about their problems and feelings in a confidential environment. A counsellor generally helps the clients to see things from a different perspective and find their own solutions based on their own beliefs. The primary purpose of counselling is to enable the clients to develop a better understanding of self and be able to make changes to cope with difficulties in their lives, by reaching their own decisions and act upon them accordingly to develop a satisfying life (Geldard & Geldard, 2009a). The self is a summation of a complex, dynamic and organized system of learned beliefs that a person holds to be true about his own existence and this make human beings unique (Purkey & Stanley, 2001). Therefore, client–counsellor relationship is unique for each person. To ensure the effectiveness of counselling, Carl Rogers identified 3 desirable conditions of the client–counsellor relationship that can be applied throughout the counselling session (Geldard & Geldard, 2009b)....show more content... Rogers regard empathy as the basis for anything that occurs during a counselling. A counsellor should be empathic with the client as trusting relationship can be formed when the client feels cared for and secure. This relationship can be developed by understanding of the thoughts and feelings that the client experienced. In other words, a counsellor should 'walk into the client's shoes' to get a better understanding of the client. With this trust, the clients might expose their innermost thoughts and feelings to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Minecraft Essay Minecraft is a game where the player uses their imagination to shape the world around them using the resources they find. In the world everything is shaped like a block or a cube, this includes the trees, the dirt, the water, the clouds, even the sun, everything. This simple game hasn't even been released yet but has already sold over one million copies. Minecraft was created by one man, Markus "Notch" Persson, and this is his story. What makes the story of Minecraft so unique is that it was created by Notch and only Notch. Notch had a job before Minecraft, working on games for a company. He started to work on Minecraft in his free time but after a giant popularity spike he realized that it could be a hit, so he quit his job and began ...show more content... The game sells around 10,000 copies per day. It has become a cultural phenomenon and on January 12, 2011 sales passed the one million mark, but they continued to rise. With popularity increasing, big name comics like "Penny Arcade" and "Hejibits" discovered the game too and published comic strips about minecraft, leading to even further sales. Minecraft makes $250,000 a day and continues to do so. On June 13, 2011, Minecraft passed 2.5 million sales. Today Mojang has 10 employees. Markus Persson, Jens Bergensten, Daniel Kaplan, Junkboy, Jakob Porser, Carl Manneh, Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. These few people make up the team that continues to work towards Minecraft's future. But with so few employees things take time. Even though the game has not been officially released, people who buy the game get a copy of what it is right now as the updates are being pushed out. With such success Mojang is the target of some heavy criticism from blogs, critics, and even their own fans. One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1 hit wonder. What happens if it truly is a one hit wonder? Will the company go down under? Will it be the end of Mojang? Will they join a publisher in order to stay afloat and lose their title of "indie?" Another speculation concerns Mojang's next game that has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft, not even in the same genre. What if nobody likes the game? What Get more content on HelpWriting.net
