Annual Founders Day Chapel Research Paper
When I walked in the chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2017, for the North Greenville Annual Founders Day Chapel I did not have high
expectations for the event. Even though it was not at all what I was expecting, I enjoyed this event more than I could have ever imagined. Before the
Annual Founders Day even started I had already begun to enjoy myself because of my 9 o'clock class which typically dismiss at 9:50 released students
thirty minutes early, due to my professor, Dr. van de Meiracker, participation in the event. This extra twenty
–minutes enabled me to arrive early and just
sit in the auditorium watching and listening to the band and choir practice. Transition, just before the professors arrived I amused myself by looking
for all the empty seats in the area...show more content...
And I do not know why but a scene from the Lilo and Stitch movie came to mind. The part where the little Earth girl told her dog and best friend to
"next time finish the evidence" and he made the flushing noise and identical motion. To begin the program, we were asked to stand and sing with
the choir the school song. And I remember thinking as I saw the words flash across on the projection, 'I was not taught the words to our university's
song or even my Alma Mater back at my old high school.' Then, I recalled my graduation when we were expected to sing our Alma Mater and no one,
but the chorus students knew the words. After the first song, most of the students, including myself, took our seat. Immediately afterward, the director
of the choir said for us to remain standing as the professors enter. When everyone had made their way into the chapel and the speakers and chairmen
were on the stage we were finally able to take our seats again. During the chairman's speech, I thought about all the information I had collected over the
past weeks from both teachers and students about Founders Day

Buy Nothing Day Essay
Could you go twenty four hours without purchasing any goods? In Canada in 1992, a day was organized to increase awareness of excessive
consumerism, called Buy Nothing Day. It urged citizens to not purchase any goods within a twenty four hour period. Since 1992, this day has been
held yearly in many other nations. Citizens have conflicting viewpoints on the role of Buy Nothing Day as to whether it is successful or unsuccessful,
however I believe it is unsuccessful for countries to implement. While annual Buy Nothing Day increases awareness to excessive consumerism and
exposes the environmental and ethical consequences of overconsumption, it is unrealistic, negatively affects small and large businesses, and is difficult
for people of all...show more content...
Annual Buy Nothing Day is as unrealistic as a unicorn and lacks practicality for the general public. Additionally, Buy Nothing Day effects both small
and large businesses negatively. Many people accept the idea of this annual day easily and do not think about the negative effects to businesses around
the country. However, culturally, some people are similar to the frog in the short story "The Parable of the Frog in the Well" from SriRamakrishna
Paramahamsa because they are unwilling to accept new ideas like the idea of yearly Buy Nothing Day. Citizens should not feel obligated to
accept this new idea because of its effects to businesses. Most businesses rely on daily income to keep their doors open and to pay their
employees. If a business were to lose a day's worth of income, it could cost the business tons of money. Some businesses would have to determine if
it would be worth closing their stores for a day. Small businesses would be negatively affected the most since they are dependent on daily incomes to
pay their employees and keep their business running smoothly. The industry of online purchases has also become very popular in recent years. This
annual day would require online shopping to stop for a twenty four hour period. It would be very difficult to discourage people from shopping online
or monitoring their shopping habits on Buy Nothing Day. It would cause an inconvenience for people of all kinds.

School Speech by Chief Guest
Draft speech of Mrs. D. Purandeswari, MoS–HRD (HE) as Chief Guest on the occasion of the Annual Day of the Rainbow Concept School,
Mahaboobnagar, A.P on 9th February, 2007 at 5.30 p.m.
It gives me immense pleasure to be here this evening and to address the young students of the Rainbow Concept School on the occasion of its Annual
Day function of the school. The Rainbow concept School has been established by Dr. A. Madhusudhan Reddy very thoughtfully for an overall growth
of a child and to integrate his academic excellence with his personality development.
Education is not just the amount of information that is put into a child's brain undigested, unrelated an unassimilated. The very essence of education is
the concentration of mind and...show more content...
This should be firmly implanted in a child's mind so that he may constantly be aware that man has a special responsibility to protect Nature. Students
should be made aware of their responsibility and duty towards protecting nature and prevent its wanton destruction which unfortunately seems to be
order of the day. Some simple practices like encouraging planting of trees periodically in their neighbourhood, watering the plants and nurturing them,
digging pits for rain water harvesting should be taught. These and other would foster in a child caring and sharing attitude towards nature and life on
earth and a deep appearance of the flora and fauna.
To make education more attractive, the students of lower classes should be imparted education through play–way methods. They should be taught to
identify various colours, sounds, shapes and objects. Exercises like clay–modeling, building sand castles, the playpen and other interactive methods
should be adopted to make learning more interesting and attractive.
In this context I would like to bring to your notice that this is how Tagore conceptualized and broughts up his famous Santiniketan (Abode of Peace)
where the entire educational system was integrated from pre–nursery to the stage of Masters' Degree and where the teaching was imparted in open air
classrooms in natural surroundings. Poet himself used to take some nursery and

Annual Performance Report Essay
As reported in our Annual Performance Report, we continue to invest in our staff for their professional success. We use our Community School
Accountability Rubric to assist our team in identifying areas for growth in the Community School Model implemented at the four schools. This rubric
also helps us in identifying areas in which our staff excel and need improvement on. Once areas of common need are identify, we seek for strategic

YPI is also spearheading efforts to shepherd in the "Lifting Children and Families out of Poverty Initiative" in the California legislature. This measure
would generate $7 billion per year to fight childhood poverty and ensure that every child receives quality, public early childhood education. It would
also create a state version of the federal Promise Zones program. This initiative is expected to be placed on the state ballot in 2018.
Looking ahead to grant year 4 we expect to make one modification to our selected core service categories. We would like to include the "Nutrition
services and physical activities" service category as one of our core categories. With the H&W coordinators hired and our partnership with YPI's
Champions for Change and World Fit for Kids, we are confident to be able to positively impact our students. Also, we expect to expand on YPI's
Family Engagement Pipeline of services. This in–house pipeline includes workshops for parents/family members that focus on nurturing a culture of
understanding around topics on college accessibility, affordability, and adult literacy.
Additionally, we plan on engaging ourselves in city–level initiatives like Safe Passages which provides students with safe routes to and from school.
This program could help us with the student safety on school grounds indicator. Moreover, we plan to provide joint school–wide

What Is A Special Day Essay
Most people remember one day that was special. Think about a special day you have had and write an essay explaining why that day was so special.
Special days are the ones that you spend with your mom, your dad, or your grandparents. Special days are when you have fun. In the Spring Break
that has passed, I went to visit my step–mom, my step–brothers, and my dad in Houston with some of my grandparents, my cousins, and my aunt. After
some days had past, more of my family came. Houston is a big city, and there are a lot of things that you can do. The first thing that you see when
you are getting to the city are buildings. There is always a lot of traffic everywhere you go. To start off, we got to the rodeo, and we had to walk a little

My dad told us that we could get on, and he also told me that they would all wait for us sitting down. The ride is kind of like zip lining, but it does
not go fast. The ride goes really high, and when a person is on, they can see the whole place where the rides are. I was on the right side, Victoria
was in the middle, and my other cousin named Allison was on the left side. The ride was almost over, and we were already getting close to the end.
We saw people getting off; we thought that we did not have to get off because the ride went in two directions. My cousins and I thought that we
would go the two directions only paying once. If a person wanted to go another time, they had to pay twice. Once it was time for us to get off, we
had to go back to where we had started. We got to the spot where we had started, and my uncle was there waiting for us. My cousins and I had to
tell him that in order to go the other direction, we needed to have more money to pay. He told us that he knew because when he was waiting for
us, he also saw people getting off from where we started. He also told us that when he saw those people getting off, he knew that to get on the other
side, the people need to pay again. Before leaving my cousins and I stopped at a food stand. When I was there, I could see and smell all the food. My
cousins and I got some spicy apples; when we got

Annual Performance Evaluation
The purpose of an annual performance evaluation is to promote communication and provide useful feedback about job performance, to facilitate
better working relationships, to provide a historical record of performance and to contribute to professional development ( ). In June of 2018, I will
have been out of high school for eighteen years. Since my high school graduation I have worked consistently in the health and human services field.

Earth Day Is An Annual Events That Happen
Earth Day is an annual events that happen on April 22th in every year. It is a mark in the history, also the environment field. On April 22th, 1970, it
woke everyone that human need to protect the environment they are living today (The History of Earth Day | Earth Day Network). This brought the
caution to people that we need to aware the environmental concerns from now. The Earth Day can bring more knowledge and information to educate
people. It also reminds people years and years that we need to do everything and protect the world we only have before it is too late.
Forty–six years later, there are more and more countries, organizations, schools and others institutions join activities which help protect the
environment. For instance, cut the electricity for an hour, planets more trees, and build up protect areas. The government also release many laws to
enforce the protection such as Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act.
One case I heard before, in 2007, HSBC set up a Green Bank for the company. The Green Bank account can record the company's carbon footprint. And
which helps to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide by their company's activity. At the end of the year, the company need to pay for their
pollution. The theme of this projects, is help the our world and let people realize, the more we pollute right now, the more money we need to fixed in
the future. As one of the people who is living in the same world, I decided to do my part to protect the environment, the

observation and what we learn from what we do, how much we take in and then what we do with it, how we find something we're good at and
apply all our knowledge to it so that we can create something to be proud of that may help others. When we were leaving, we shook his hand, he

Why Is The First Earth Day Successful
2020 marks for the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day; the focus will be to end plastic pollution (Earth Day). The first Earth Day was held on
April 22, 1970, it was celebrated all throughout the United States. Currently, it's a global event that people from all over the world celebrate. Before
the movement started in the 1970's, a great oil spill happened in Santa Barbara, California 1969. Thus, the oil spill encouraged Senator Gaylord Nelson
to have a day, to specifically focus on helping the environment and teach the public about natural disasters (History of earth day). As a result a year later,
millions of people went to the streets protesting for the negative impacts of more than a hundred years of industrial development on the environment.
The natural environment has been on a road of destruction ever since the industrial revolution. In addition, humans are overwhelmed with gaining
wealth that they have ignored the natural environmental needs for hundreds of years. It can be said that this movement has been a great success in
protecting the environment with all the participation of the civilians. There are three main reasons why Earth Day is successful: The first, is the strong
focus of the movement, which promotes public awareness of pollution problems, the second, is all the positive influence the main media has have for
the movement, and lastly, is the overall knowledge that people receive after participating in an Earth Day activity.
First, Gaylord Nelson

Effects Of Annual Buy Nothing Day
A Buy Nothing Day, is a day in which urges people not to buy goods, as a way to increase awareness of excessive consumerism. Having an annual
Buy Nothing Day would be a great addition to the list of American holiday. The reason to have an annual Buy Nothing Day would lessen our effect
on the environment, even then a little goes a long way. It would lessen our effect because less car, that fill the air with carbon monoxide, would be
on the street filled with people with the need to buy goods. This would also decrease gas use. In Addition, a Buy Nothing Day would allow
businesses to close and check inventory especial before a holiday like Black Friday, where people are so eager to consume. Lastly it gives people a
chance to spend more time with their family and teaches people how to plan, which is very important skill. One does not even have to take part in

Annual Holiday Pay Essay
Section 7.3: "Casual and part time employees, or employees who work less than a full year, shall receive 6% holiday pay over and above the
ordinary hourly rate in lieu of annual holidays." Section 7.4: "Employees who work on a Statutory Public Holiday shall be paid the overtime rate
of time and a quarter and will also receive a day off in lieu." Both of these rates of pay are less than the legally required minimum as stated under the
Holidays Act 2003. S23: Calculation of annual holiday pay if employment ends within 12 months (2) An employer must pay the employee 8% of
the employee's gross earnings since the commencement of the employment. S50: Employer must pay employee at least time and a half for
working on public holiday Section 19.2: "If both parties agree there is a case to answer, a meeting will be held to discuss and attempt to solve the
matter." The ERA S54 (3) (iii) states that a collective agreement must contain a "plain language explanation of the services available for the
resolution of employment relationship problems, including a reference to the period of 90 days within which a personal grievance must be raised".
This agreement does highlight the 90 days necessity if bring a personal grievance against an employer but then merely says that once you have bought
the grievance to the employers attention they will only discuss the matter with you if they decide there is a case. This is not providing a proper
procedure to deal with workplace disputes.

Essay on My Day
My Day I wake up every morning with a shock, my mum knocking at the door and shouting,
"Time for a shower." I'm always tired in the mornings and find getting up for a shower really horrible, though it does a good job of waking me up and
after it I'm ready for another day at school. Well that is what I think but I usually end up in bed asleep right up until 7.45 am. Luckily I have usually
packed my school stuff the night before.

Another couple of friends arrive at this house too and we all get together and walk to school. This walking to school together gives me a good
opportunity to make after school arrangements. Once at school (the walk takes about 15 minutes) I go to my tutor base and catch up with my friends
who don't walk to school with me. After a short rest I make my way to my first lesson on a Monday usually English.
English requires a lot of work and its quite interesting. All year it's work, work, work, which is hardly surprising seeing that it's GCSE year. I'm going
to need to work hard because qualifications are a necessary part of any career and I definitely want a career not just a job.
After the first two lessons I usually eat my lunch. It may seem strange that I eat my lunch at break but it takes so much time queuing at lunchtime just
so I can sit down and eat some food that I would rather eat my packed lunch early freeing up time at lunch for other activities. The only downside to
this is that you have lots of people surrounding you begging for food. Most people would probably just say "No", but I have real problems with
saying "No" and more often than not half my food is devoured by these hungry beasts.
Once break is finished I work until the real lunch time and then I hang around the common room or go to the library and do

An Average Year Of 365 Days Essay
In an average year of 365 days, there are only 262,800 minutes. In a lifespan of 80 years, there is just over 21 million minutes. That doesn 't seem
like a lot, does it? One minute can fly by so fast that we barely even knew it was there. In fact, 262,800 minutes can fly by so fast that we barely
remember our year or get anything accomplished. If you would rather make the most of your time, then you need to become more mindful of how you
spend your time. Following are some ways to do that.
Focus Less On Time And More Of How You Spend It
Watching the clock is not the same as watching the sun set. Yet, we have clocks, watches, and phones that help us keep track of every moment in our
life. We have become obsessed with time, in a way, and that obsession is causing us to be more mindful of time than of what we are actually doing
with it.
But, it is still important to get things done in a certain time period. So, we must be mindful of the time to some degree. The best way to stay mindful
of time, but really stay mindful of what you are doing in the moment, is to use timers or alarms. Setting a timer helps you to stop looking at the clock
and start paying attention to what is going on around you. You can become lost in what you are doing– spending time with family, doing daily tasks
for success, cleaning the house, or whatever else, and instead of waiting for the time you have to switch gears and obsessing about it, you can be
reminded of it with a simple alarm.

Annual Founders Day Chapel Research Paper

  • 1. Annual Founders Day Chapel Research Paper When I walked in the chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2017, for the North Greenville Annual Founders Day Chapel I did not have high expectations for the event. Even though it was not at all what I was expecting, I enjoyed this event more than I could have ever imagined. Before the Annual Founders Day even started I had already begun to enjoy myself because of my 9 o'clock class which typically dismiss at 9:50 released students thirty minutes early, due to my professor, Dr. van de Meiracker, participation in the event. This extra twenty –minutes enabled me to arrive early and just sit in the auditorium watching and listening to the band and choir practice. Transition, just before the professors arrived I amused myself by looking for all the empty seats in the area...show more content... And I do not know why but a scene from the Lilo and Stitch movie came to mind. The part where the little Earth girl told her dog and best friend to "next time finish the evidence" and he made the flushing noise and identical motion. To begin the program, we were asked to stand and sing with the choir the school song. And I remember thinking as I saw the words flash across on the projection, 'I was not taught the words to our university's song or even my Alma Mater back at my old high school.' Then, I recalled my graduation when we were expected to sing our Alma Mater and no one, but the chorus students knew the words. After the first song, most of the students, including myself, took our seat. Immediately afterward, the director of the choir said for us to remain standing as the professors enter. When everyone had made their way into the chapel and the speakers and chairmen were on the stage we were finally able to take our seats again. During the chairman's speech, I thought about all the information I had collected over the past weeks from both teachers and students about Founders Day Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Buy Nothing Day Essay Could you go twenty four hours without purchasing any goods? In Canada in 1992, a day was organized to increase awareness of excessive consumerism, called Buy Nothing Day. It urged citizens to not purchase any goods within a twenty four hour period. Since 1992, this day has been held yearly in many other nations. Citizens have conflicting viewpoints on the role of Buy Nothing Day as to whether it is successful or unsuccessful, however I believe it is unsuccessful for countries to implement. While annual Buy Nothing Day increases awareness to excessive consumerism and exposes the environmental and ethical consequences of overconsumption, it is unrealistic, negatively affects small and large businesses, and is difficult for people of all...show more content... Annual Buy Nothing Day is as unrealistic as a unicorn and lacks practicality for the general public. Additionally, Buy Nothing Day effects both small and large businesses negatively. Many people accept the idea of this annual day easily and do not think about the negative effects to businesses around the country. However, culturally, some people are similar to the frog in the short story "The Parable of the Frog in the Well" from SriRamakrishna Paramahamsa because they are unwilling to accept new ideas like the idea of yearly Buy Nothing Day. Citizens should not feel obligated to accept this new idea because of its effects to businesses. Most businesses rely on daily income to keep their doors open and to pay their employees. If a business were to lose a day's worth of income, it could cost the business tons of money. Some businesses would have to determine if it would be worth closing their stores for a day. Small businesses would be negatively affected the most since they are dependent on daily incomes to pay their employees and keep their business running smoothly. The industry of online purchases has also become very popular in recent years. This annual day would require online shopping to stop for a twenty four hour period. It would be very difficult to discourage people from shopping online or monitoring their shopping habits on Buy Nothing Day. It would cause an inconvenience for people of all kinds. • 3. School Speech by Chief Guest Draft speech of Mrs. D. Purandeswari, MoS–HRD (HE) as Chief Guest on the occasion of the Annual Day of the Rainbow Concept School, Mahaboobnagar, A.P on 9th February, 2007 at 5.30 p.m. It gives me immense pleasure to be here this evening and to address the young students of the Rainbow Concept School on the occasion of its Annual Day function of the school. The Rainbow concept School has been established by Dr. A. Madhusudhan Reddy very thoughtfully for an overall growth of a child and to integrate his academic excellence with his personality development. Education is not just the amount of information that is put into a child's brain undigested, unrelated an unassimilated. The very essence of education is the concentration of mind and...show more content... This should be firmly implanted in a child's mind so that he may constantly be aware that man has a special responsibility to protect Nature. Students should be made aware of their responsibility and duty towards protecting nature and prevent its wanton destruction which unfortunately seems to be order of the day. Some simple practices like encouraging planting of trees periodically in their neighbourhood, watering the plants and nurturing them, digging pits for rain water harvesting should be taught. These and other would foster in a child caring and sharing attitude towards nature and life on earth and a deep appearance of the flora and fauna. To make education more attractive, the students of lower classes should be imparted education through play–way methods. They should be taught to identify various colours, sounds, shapes and objects. Exercises like clay–modeling, building sand castles, the playpen and other interactive methods should be adopted to make learning more interesting and attractive. In this context I would like to bring to your notice that this is how Tagore conceptualized and broughts up his famous Santiniketan (Abode of Peace) where the entire educational system was integrated from pre–nursery to the stage of Masters' Degree and where the teaching was imparted in open air classrooms in natural surroundings. Poet himself used to take some nursery and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The event was hosted at Felicitas and Gonzalo Mendez High School over there in east LA. In more detail it was in Plaza Del Sol LA. According to the events wed site it is the "Most Popular Dia de Los Muertos events in los Angeles and perhaps the oldest day of the dead commemoration in the country." It was a unique event because it not only has one date of fun it was many more activtes before the actual celebration of the day of the dead event. It was event were the Latino tradition of celebrating the dead is celebrated by not only Hispanics but white people since I saw a lot of white people. She expressed what see believes this event does to young people like us. Looking ahead to grant year 4 we expect to make one modification to our selected core service categories. We would like to include the "Nutrition services and physical activities" service category as one of our core categories. With the H&W coordinators hired and our partnership with YPI's Champions for Change and World Fit for Kids, we are confident to be able to positively impact our students. Also, we expect to expand on YPI's Family Engagement Pipeline of services. This in–house pipeline includes workshops for parents/family members that focus on nurturing a culture of understanding around topics on college accessibility, affordability, and adult literacy. Additionally, we plan on engaging ourselves in city–level initiatives like Safe Passages which provides students with safe routes to and from school. • 6. What Is A Special Day Essay Most people remember one day that was special. Think about a special day you have had and write an essay explaining why that day was so special. Special days are the ones that you spend with your mom, your dad, or your grandparents. Special days are when you have fun. In the Spring Break that has passed, I went to visit my step–mom, my step–brothers, and my dad in Houston with some of my grandparents, my cousins, and my aunt. After some days had past, more of my family came. Houston is a big city, and there are a lot of things that you can do. The first thing that you see when you are getting to the city are buildings. There is always a lot of traffic everywhere you go. To start off, we got to the rodeo, and we had to walk a little bit....show more content... My dad told us that we could get on, and he also told me that they would all wait for us sitting down. The ride is kind of like zip lining, but it does not go fast. The ride goes really high, and when a person is on, they can see the whole place where the rides are. I was on the right side, Victoria was in the middle, and my other cousin named Allison was on the left side. The ride was almost over, and we were already getting close to the end. We saw people getting off; we thought that we did not have to get off because the ride went in two directions. My cousins and I thought that we would go the two directions only paying once. If a person wanted to go another time, they had to pay twice. Once it was time for us to get off, we had to go back to where we had started. We got to the spot where we had started, and my uncle was there waiting for us. My cousins and I had to tell him that in order to go the other direction, we needed to have more money to pay. He told us that he knew because when he was waiting for us, he also saw people getting off from where we started. He also told us that when he saw those people getting off, he knew that to get on the other side, the people need to pay again. Before leaving my cousins and I stopped at a food stand. When I was there, I could see and smell all the food. My cousins and I got some spicy apples; when we got Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 10. Earth Day Is An Annual Events That Happen Earth Day is an annual events that happen on April 22th in every year. It is a mark in the history, also the environment field. On April 22th, 1970, it woke everyone that human need to protect the environment they are living today (The History of Earth Day | Earth Day Network). This brought the caution to people that we need to aware the environmental concerns from now. The Earth Day can bring more knowledge and information to educate people. It also reminds people years and years that we need to do everything and protect the world we only have before it is too late. Forty–six years later, there are more and more countries, organizations, schools and others institutions join activities which help protect the environment. For instance, cut the electricity for an hour, planets more trees, and build up protect areas. The government also release many laws to enforce the protection such as Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act. One case I heard before, in 2007, HSBC set up a Green Bank for the company. The Green Bank account can record the company's carbon footprint. And which helps to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide by their company's activity. At the end of the year, the company need to pay for their pollution. The theme of this projects, is help the our world and let people realize, the more we pollute right now, the more money we need to fixed in the future. We even got to have a valuable conversation with Sir Ray Avery himself. Though, at the time, he looked familiar we weren't quite sure what he did, but when I looked him up afterwards I was astonished by the contributions he has made to society and our future. In our little chat he emphasized the importance of creative thinking, he told us how our thinking all comes down to observation and what we learn from what we do, how much we take in and then what we do with it, how we find something we're good at and apply all our knowledge to it so that we can create something to be proud of that may help others. When we were leaving, we shook his hand, he had a really firm grip which only furthered my suspicions on the type of man he is. One of the evenings many highlights was having the great privilege of experiencing Sir Avery's witty humour first hand, I can't quite remember what we were talking about, but it was along the lines of for some learning is like playing lotto, he said take this charming man here, in a few years he goes to Nelson for a conference and he meets a women from Levin, next thing you know he goes to Levin with her and you never hear from him again. • 15. Why Is The First Earth Day Successful 2020 marks for the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day; the focus will be to end plastic pollution (Earth Day). The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, it was celebrated all throughout the United States. Currently, it's a global event that people from all over the world celebrate. Before the movement started in the 1970's, a great oil spill happened in Santa Barbara, California 1969. Thus, the oil spill encouraged Senator Gaylord Nelson to have a day, to specifically focus on helping the environment and teach the public about natural disasters (History of earth day). As a result a year later, millions of people went to the streets protesting for the negative impacts of more than a hundred years of industrial development on the environment. The natural environment has been on a road of destruction ever since the industrial revolution. In addition, humans are overwhelmed with gaining wealth that they have ignored the natural environmental needs for hundreds of years. It can be said that this movement has been a great success in protecting the environment with all the participation of the civilians. There are three main reasons why Earth Day is successful: The first, is the strong focus of the movement, which promotes public awareness of pollution problems, the second, is all the positive influence the main media has have for the movement, and lastly, is the overall knowledge that people receive after participating in an Earth Day activity. First, Gaylord Nelson Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Annual Holiday Pay Essay Section 7.3: "Casual and part time employees, or employees who work less than a full year, shall receive 6% holiday pay over and above the ordinary hourly rate in lieu of annual holidays." Section 7.4: "Employees who work on a Statutory Public Holiday shall be paid the overtime rate of time and a quarter and will also receive a day off in lieu." Both of these rates of pay are less than the legally required minimum as stated under the Holidays Act 2003. S23: Calculation of annual holiday pay if employment ends within 12 months (2) An employer must pay the employee 8% of the employee's gross earnings since the commencement of the employment. S50: Employer must pay employee at least time and a half for working on public holiday Section 19.2: "If both parties agree there is a case to answer, a meeting will be held to discuss and attempt to solve the matter." The ERA S54 (3) (iii) states that a collective agreement must contain a "plain language explanation of the services available for the resolution of employment relationship problems, including a reference to the period of 90 days within which a personal grievance must be raised". This agreement does highlight the 90 days necessity if bring a personal grievance against an employer but then merely says that once you have bought the grievance to the employers attention they will only discuss the matter with you if they decide there is a case. This is not providing a proper procedure to deal with workplace disputes. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. Essay on My Day My Day I wake up every morning with a shock, my mum knocking at the door and shouting, "Time for a shower." I'm always tired in the mornings and find getting up for a shower really horrible, though it does a good job of waking me up and after it I'm ready for another day at school. Well that is what I think but I usually end up in bed asleep right up until 7.45 am. Luckily I have usually packed my school stuff the night before. My house is quite big and there is lots of room to get away from the rest of my family. I have a computer in my room and I spend quite a lot of time on ...show more content... Another couple of friends arrive at this house too and we all get together and walk to school. This walking to school together gives me a good opportunity to make after school arrangements. Once at school (the walk takes about 15 minutes) I go to my tutor base and catch up with my friends who don't walk to school with me. After a short rest I make my way to my first lesson on a Monday usually English. English requires a lot of work and its quite interesting. All year it's work, work, work, which is hardly surprising seeing that it's GCSE year. I'm going to need to work hard because qualifications are a necessary part of any career and I definitely want a career not just a job. After the first two lessons I usually eat my lunch. It may seem strange that I eat my lunch at break but it takes so much time queuing at lunchtime just so I can sit down and eat some food that I would rather eat my packed lunch early freeing up time at lunch for other activities. The only downside to this is that you have lots of people surrounding you begging for food. Most people would probably just say "No", but I have real problems with saying "No" and more often than not half my food is devoured by these hungry beasts. Once break is finished I work until the real lunch time and then I hang around the common room or go to the library and do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. An Average Year Of 365 Days Essay In an average year of 365 days, there are only 262,800 minutes. In a lifespan of 80 years, there is just over 21 million minutes. That doesn 't seem like a lot, does it? One minute can fly by so fast that we barely even knew it was there. In fact, 262,800 minutes can fly by so fast that we barely remember our year or get anything accomplished. If you would rather make the most of your time, then you need to become more mindful of how you spend your time. Following are some ways to do that. Focus Less On Time And More Of How You Spend It Watching the clock is not the same as watching the sun set. Yet, we have clocks, watches, and phones that help us keep track of every moment in our life. We have become obsessed with time, in a way, and that obsession is causing us to be more mindful of time than of what we are actually doing with it. But, it is still important to get things done in a certain time period. So, we must be mindful of the time to some degree. The best way to stay mindful of time, but really stay mindful of what you are doing in the moment, is to use timers or alarms. Setting a timer helps you to stop looking at the clock and start paying attention to what is going on around you. You can become lost in what you are doing– spending time with family, doing daily tasks for success, cleaning the house, or whatever else, and instead of waiting for the time you have to switch gears and obsessing about it, you can be reminded of it with a simple alarm.
