• Channel 4 is a free to air tv channel that is
broadcast in the United Kingdom, Ireland and
Switzerland. It was established in 1982 and
has been one of the most popular channels on
tv for many years now.

3. Sister
Channels
Channel 4 has a lot of so-called
sister channels, these are channels
that branch out from the original
channel 4 but are still in the
ownership of the Channel 4
corporation.
Some of these include; E4,
Kiss, Film4, More4, Kerrang!

4. E4
• E4 is a sister channel to Channel 4 and is owned by the
same Channel 4 corporation. It was established in
2001, only becoming free to air in 2004 which is very
recent in comparison to some of the other sister
channels. This channel as broadcasted many popular
shows such as 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Brooklyn Nine
Nine' and also 'Gotham'.

5. Demographic E4, of which the E stands for
entertainment, is a channel primarily
created to cater towards the 16-34 age
range.
This demographic is shown through the
type of shows aired on the channel, with
reality tv shows like big brother being
shown on there along with big comedy
shows such as 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' and
'The Big Bang Theory'.
