3. Pre-Production: Visual Planning
• This section is concerned with the visual planning of your music video
• You should use this section to develop the sequencing or your video,
establish the relationship between the visuals and the track itself and
create a structure for you to follow when filming
• It is important that you ‘pre-visualise’ the video before you make it; it
will make filming and production a more streamlined process
• The following tasks are part of your visual planning
• Pre-visualisation and concept boards
• Storyboarding
• Shot list
5. Concept board analysis
• My concept board mainly consists of photographs of people who are
exploring alone or in groups at different times of day in various
different locations. The colour pallet also varies from soft pastels to
bright blue and orange sunsets. There is also various different camera
shots and location of people, objects and city to nature backgrounds.
I've also chose to include pictures of new and older looking footage
as I would like to have a small amount of older looking footage in my
music video to represent that they have been friend and rebellious
for a long time.
• These photos I've collected will help me with my final outcome as
they allow me to picture how I want my final music video outcome to
look and come together. Also I help me think about how I want to
edit the colour in my final video and the clips.
6. Structural breakdown- Song Lyrics
• Run away with me
Lost souls and reverie
Running wild and
running free
Two kids, you and me
• And I say
Hey, hey hey hey
Living like we're
renegades
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Living like we're
renegades
Renegades, renegades
• Long live the pioneers
Rebels and mutineers
Go forth and have no
fear
Come close the end is
near
• And I say hey, hey hey
hey
Living like we're
renegades
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Living like we're
renegades
Renegades, renegades
• All hail the underdogs
All hail the new kids
All hail the outlaws
Spielberg's and
Kubrick's
• It's our time to make a
move
It's our time to make
amends
It's our time to break
the rules
Let's begin
• And I say hey, hey hey
hey
Living like we're
renegades
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Leaving like we're
renegades
Renegades, renegades

14. Location information
• For filming my locations will be public property in
York so no permission is needed. However I will still
treat the areas where I'm filming with respect as if
they were private property.
• The locations I have chosen to film at are:
the knavesmire woods
Around the cycle path to Bishopthorpe
The pedestrian path around the knavesmire
racecourse
Roads around/ on my street where I live
• The camera equipment used will only be a single
canon camera which I will transport using a camera
bag.
15. Plan B
• Plan B for filming locations. Since my filming locations are all public,
permission is not much of a problem. However, if something occurs
that doesn't allow me and my cast to travel to all the locations I will
keep it simple and down to the pedestrian path along the knavesmire
racecourse and hopefully get a few shots of the knavesmire woods
that is next to the racecourse. Since I ill try to take the footage close
to each location I think it will be reliable to at least visit those to
locations.
• Plan B for cast not being able to film. If this were to happen a backup
plan would be to use my 2 or 3 sibling's. This would happen if none of
my 5 cast member where able to film at all when the date is known
however if at least 2 of the first cast is available I will film them.
