8. STATUS OF EXECUTION:
• E-CHOUPAL services have empowered 4 million farmers.
• Cover about 35000 villages through 6100 kiosks across
10 states namely MADHYA PRADESH , HARYANA
, UTTARAKHAND , UTTAR PRADESH , RAJASTHAN
, KARNATAKA , KERALA , MAHARASHTRA , ANDHRA
PRADESH AND TAMIL NADU.
• Has a vision to reach 10 million by 2022 and doubling
farmers income.
• CSR amount spent=45.77 crore rupees
AS A RESULT OF E-CHOUPAL THERE IS:
• Rise in income of farmers.
• Improvements in quality of output.
• Fall in transaction cost.
• Time saving for the farmers.
9. WATERSHED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME:
Improving water resource management over 1,146,000 acres
Strategies and key interventions:
• Mobilizing community action to conserve and manage local
resources by Forming Water User Groups
• Building grassroots so that communities can manage
resources equitably and sustainably by Comprehensive
training for all Water User Groups
• Model mechanisms to ensure long-term sustainability of
project assets and benefits by doing Mandatory financial
contribution from community + Maintenance fund for each
group + Methodology: Traditional + Modern, Simple + Low-
Cost .

AS A RESULT OF WATERSHED DEVELOPMENT :
• As on March 31,2020, covered over 1.13 million acres
and created net water storage of 38.16 million
kilolitres.
• Generated 6 millions persons days of employment.
• Rejuvenating Basins.
• Improving soil fertility and moisture conservation
• Through micro irrigation and crop-specific precision
agronomical practices, water consumption has been
reduced to by as much as 20% to 45%
• Water storage potential created : 38.16 million cubic
meter
• Awarded the Alliance for Water Stewardship(AWS)
Platinum-level- certification.
11. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
On account of Health
• As per estimates illegal cigarettes alone causes revenue loss of 15000 crores
p.a. to govt. 68% of total tobacco consumed in country remains outside the
tax net.
• Efforts to bring major part of tobacco consumed in tax net.
• Helps to reduce the damage caused to companies manufacturing tobacco and
to govt.
• Also deter consumers from tobacco consumption due to higher prices.
• Lead to improving consumer health and reduce health expenditure.
