Discrimination refers to treating a personality or group with prejudice before
certain characteristics.This behavior can be either positive or negative.
However, when it comes to discrimination, the negative meaning is
understood.Discrimination is a human rights violation by itself,it is a collective
attack on basic values creating human rights.

5. Is There Discrimination Based On Ethnic Origin In My Country?
How Often It Occurs?
The rate of those who point out that ethnic discrimination is "always" or
"mostly"reached 25.28 percent. Another segment of 25.28 percent states that
ethnic discrimination is “sometimes” experienced, while 49.14 percent declare
that
ethnic discrimination is “rarely” or “never” occurs.

8. An Interview With Discriminated Person
A:Welcome Evdal first of all thanks for agreeing to do this interview thanks to our
co-friend Ömer for introduce ourselves.i do research about on ethnicty
privileges in our country.I am curious about the things to tell as a Kurd.
B:I’m glad to be here.Yes I think we are exposed to discrimination on many issues.
A:I want to enter the topic directly.Can you introduce yourself first?
B:I am Evdal.I’m a member of a Kurdish family born in 1974 in Mardin.We are 9
siblings.4 sisters,5 brother. My youngest sister is physically disabled,my mom is
housewife,my dad is shepherd.We are poor family of 11.
A:What is the family’s level of education?
B:My mother is illiterate,my dad just finished primary school we couldn’t go to
university because of financial problems and unequal conditions.I feel lucky i
finished high school but it was very troubled.
9. A:Well, you said that your education is not enough, you know that you have a good command
of the events and you express yourself very well how did you achieve this?
B:I tried very hard to set an example for my brothers and peers in this regard.Thanks to my
Turkish friend Ömer, I had the opportunity to read many Turkish books, magazines,
articles, newspapers.Then I read a lot of books with the desire to read all kinds of books.
A:Congratulations, you are a good example to those around you and other Kurdish
people.You said that your sister is a physically handicapped.How the state's health care
against the Kurds?
B:We have difficulty in communicating with doctors because we do not have enough
Turkish.All of the health reports are in Turkish so we can’t understand.This situation is
more difficult for my mother and father.They must have someone who knows Turkish to
help them.
A:Thanks for chatting with me.You're right, we should all be on equal terms, hope this
interview helps a lot of people.
10. Results & Requests
Our respect for people; it requires us to work to protect all rights,
regardless of its race, color, language, religion, belief and sect. We
should all work together for the right of one of us, to avoid violations of
the rights.We must combat discrimination as an obstacle to our living in a
dignified world. Turkey and for the elimination of discrimination problem
in the world, in itself, must work together and unite everyone who feels
responsibility in this regard for a world without discrimination.
