This document contains an interview script for three university students about their experiences living in student accommodation at Derby University. The script includes basic questions about how long they have been students and what they study. It also has bigger questions about what to do first when moving into accommodation and the most useful thing to bring. Mixed questions cover topics like how social life changes, living away from home, communicating with parents, and unexpected items needed.

1. University interview script
Introduction
I’m Fraser Hardwick and today I decided to interview Michael
,Natalie and Amy about their student life in Derby university.
Some basic questions to start off:
 How long you been at uni for?
 What do you study?
 How long you been in student accommodation?
Bigger questions:
 When starting university and getting into accommodation what is
the 1st thing you should do before settling into your room for the
next 9 months?
 What is the most useful thing you brought or can bring to uni with
you when your moving in?
 So your moving in with people you never knew before all from
different parts of the country how does it all work mix well?
Mixed questions:
 Social life how does it change when you are in university?
 What is it like living away from home?
 How often do you talk to your parents when you’re in uni?
 What is the last thing you expect to bring to university that
you’ll need.
