Uber taps into public transport network

Uber is integrating public transport information into its app in
an exciting new collaboration between the ride sharing
company and Transport for NSW.
Minister for Transport and Roads Andrew Constance said the
app’s new function will encourage more people out of their
cars and on to the public transport network by connecting
customers with the latest bus, train, Metro and ferry options all
on the one integrated platform.

on 19 November 2018.
In Round Two, 32 projects located all around Australia
will benefit from over $21 million of Australian
Government funding. Round Two was highly
competitive, 102 applications were received.
7. Australian shifting to prepare for IoT
Consumer Data Rights The government determined that the
consumer data right will first apply to the banking sector,
followed by the energy sector. Telecommunications is proposed
to follow.
Open Banking will be introduced in phases, with basic product
information to be available from 1 July 2019. Consumer data
for mortgage accounts, credit and debit cards, and deposit and
transaction accounts are to be made available by 1 February
2020.
AI: Australia's Ethics Framework, April, 2019 - which is a
discussion paper developed by CSIRO's Data 61 that has been
released to inform the Government's approach to AI ethics in
Australia.
AEMO – April 2019, - launches consultation into building of
grid to support DER proliferation.
ESB: July, 2019 – initiates collaboration to define DER and data
standards for sharing with aggregators.
