This document summarizes an HVAC cleaning service that uses a unique antibacterial coating called MedSafe to eliminate bacteria and pathogens. MedSafe provides residual protection that continues working 24/7 to prevent microbial regrowth. The service deep cleans air handling units and ducts, applies MedSafe, cleans and treats air filters, and measures air flow efficiency improvements. It claims to be more effective than standard cleaning at controlling germs and improving HVAC system performance.

As an air conditioning system cycles on and off it
gets damp, cold, and warm. This dark, dank
environment is the perfect breeding ground for
mould and mildew, which in turn encourages
microbial growth and an increase in airborne
bacteria.
Mould and bacteria build-up is not only a threat to
health. It can also cause:
• A decrease in airflow
• A decrease in operational efficiency
• A reduction in equipment lifespan
• Higher running costs
Our advanced HVAC cleaning technique differs from
the standard industry method in that it not only
improves the operating efficiency of the extract
system, but is specifically designed to provide
optimum germ control.
At the centre of our cleaning process lies our cutting-
edge technology, MedSafe™, a unique purifier with
powerful sterilizing properties scientifically proven to
provide on-going protection from superbugs and
everyday germs including MRSA, C.DIFF, E.COLI,
Salmonella, Legionnaire's Disease and SARS.
Standard germ destroying agents stop working once
they have dried, allowing bacteria to return at an
exponential rate. MedSafe™ incorporates a residual
barrier which ensures it continues to work,
preventing survival and regeneration of organisms
24/7, week after week.
Whilst stunningly effective, MedSafe™ is an
extremely safe professional treatment for long-term
protection against airborne bacteria.
MedSafe™ is produced as both a spray-on solution,
allowing it to be applied directly to accessible
surfaces such as filters, and as a diffusible chemical,
suitable for fogging.
4. SAFEZONE INTERNATIONAL
Ozone is a highly reactive gas which occurs in both
the upper atmosphere (the stratosphere) and the
lower atmosphere (the air we breathe). Stratospheric
ozone is protective, reducing the amount of harmful
UV radiation reaching the Earth's surface.
Ozone is often promoted as an effective means of
cleaning aircon systems. Some companies offer
periodic duct cleaning whilst others recommend
continuous duct dosing, the latter method requiring
the installation of an ozone generator.
Companies offering ozone treatments often use terms
such as "energized oxygen" or "pure air" to suggest
that ozone gas is a healthy kind of oxygen. However
such terms are highly misleading.
Whereas stratospheric ozone is protective, ozone in
the atmosphere can be harmful to health.
Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent and primary
irritant; when inhaled it can damage the lungs and
respiratory tract. Relatively low amounts can cause
chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, and, throat
irritation. It may also worsen chronic respiratory
diseases such as asthma and compromise the ability
of the body to fight respiratory infections. That is why
ozone is particularly dangerous for use in confined
spaces.
FACT v FICTION
Much of the material proclaiming the merits of ozone
makes claims or draws conclusions without
substantiation or being based on sound scientific
fact.
In reality available scientific evidence shows that, at
concentrations that do not exceed public health
standards, ozone is generally ineffective in controlling
indoor air pollution. It also shows that concentrations
would have to be 5 - 10 times higher than public
health standards allow before it could decontaminate
the air sufficiently to prevent survival and
regeneration of biological organisms once the ozone
is removed.

"good up high - bad nearby" (EPA)
"Severe and permanent lung injury or
death could result from even a very short‐
term exposure to relatively low
concentrations." (Canadian Centre for
Occupational Health & Safety)
“ The concentration of ozone would have
to greatly exceed health standards to be
effective in removing most indoor air
contaminants.” (USA Environmental
Protection Association)
