MINI SERVICE:
Step 1: We clean each air handling unit, including
condenser coils, fins, condensate drain trays, grilles,
diffusers, fans and supply and return plenums using a
combination of high-temperature dry steam and a high
volume extraction machine so powerful it is classified as
a medical device. All housings and surrounding areas are
similarly cleaned.
Step 2: We apply MedSafe™ to each individual
component, leaving behind a residual barrier which
inhibits future microbial growth.
Step 3: We remove, clean and purify air filters, replacing
any too badly damaged to do its job.
A 1/100th of an inch build‐up of dirt can reduce a coils
efficiency by up to 5%.
FULL SYSTEM SERVICE:
During a full system service, in addition to the above
processes, all flexible and sheet ducting is cleaned.
Firstly, we use a customised electrical roto-brush to
dislodge dirt and contaminants from duct runs. An
exceptionally powerful HEPA device extracts and
captures all waste so that no area within the yacht is re-
contaminated.
We then use a fogging machine, which utilises air
pressure to create a fine mist of minute droplets, to
apply a coating of MedSafe™ to the duct lining, ensuring
the entirety of the duct run is purified. We routinely use
CCTV in order to monitor the treatment process in order
to ensure no areas are missed.
Air-flow velocity is measured at the outset and upon
completion of every service in order to show the
improvement in operational efficiency. We can arrange
for swabs to be taken to show the decrease in microbial
activity, if required.

4. SAFEZONE INTERNATIONAL
Ozone is a highly reactive gas which occurs in both
the upper atmosphere (the stratosphere) and the
lower atmosphere (the air we breathe). Stratospheric
ozone is protective, reducing the amount of harmful
UV radiation reaching the Earth's surface.
Ozone is often promoted as an effective means of
cleaning aircon systems. Some companies offer
periodic duct cleaning whilst others recommend
continuous duct dosing, the latter method requiring
the installation of an ozone generator.
Companies offering ozone treatments often use terms
such as "energized oxygen" or "pure air" to suggest
that ozone gas is a healthy kind of oxygen. However
such terms are highly misleading.
Whereas stratospheric ozone is protective, ozone in
the atmosphere can be harmful to health.
Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent and primary
irritant; when inhaled it can damage the lungs and
respiratory tract. Relatively low amounts can cause
chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, and, throat
irritation. It may also worsen chronic respiratory
diseases such as asthma and compromise the ability
of the body to fight respiratory infections. That is why
ozone is particularly dangerous for use in confined
spaces.
FACT v FICTION
Much of the material proclaiming the merits of ozone
makes claims or draws conclusions without
substantiation or being based on sound scientific
fact.
In reality available scientific evidence shows that, at
concentrations that do not exceed public health
standards, ozone is generally ineffective in controlling
indoor air pollution. It also shows that concentrations
would have to be 5 - 10 times higher than public
health standards allow before it could decontaminate
the air sufficiently to prevent survival and
regeneration of biological organisms once the ozone
is removed.
