Promoted to develop the territory into a commercially viable business unit in
conformity with the company’s set standards; recruit and retain the customers that
have been captured by the territory; develop and consolidate the customers’ base
so captured through a customer relationship management system; promote
satisfactory customer service; maintain quality power supply; contain energy
losses to less or equal to 20%; break even in the energy sales and make
substantial profits in the sales of energy generated and other products.
Key results:
 Customer recruitment target to be achieved in 1 year’s period was instead
achieved within 6 months; surpassing it by 8.7%.
 Energy losses permissible level that should have been at least 20% or
lower was brought down to 2.3%.
 Revenue collection efficiency was achieved at 103% against a target of
98%.
 Power availability target of 95% was instead achieved at 95.5%;
 Percentage of purchased energy units over sold energy units of 90% was
instead achieved at 97.7%.
 Performance efficiency ratio was surpassed by 103.3% against a target of
95%.

Off-Grid Station Manager, 2010 to 2014
Revenue Assistant, 2008 to 2010
Promoted to oversee the promotion and growth of the company’s clientele base
and improve revenue performance which was badly performing, enforce sound
merchandising and electricity distribution loss control strategies; execute
corporate programs, promotions and policies; and drive optimal customer
satisfaction, associate productivity and P&L results; improve the image of the
company, improve the energy efficiency, increase the performance efficiency ratio
and increase overall collection efficiency; lastly to maintain sound customer
relationships.
Key Results:
 Revenue performance improved tremendously with revenue collections
being surpassed by as much as 266.40% in certain instances.
 Commended by the Managing Director for a job well done in 2010 and
2011, “for the first time in the history of the off-grid stations have revenue
targets been realized as it is being seen today, read part of a statement by
the managing Director. This is attributable to the new breed of managers
recruited to bolster efforts in the field”.
 Successfully completed the probation period and confirmed in the position
of the off-grid station manager because of results registered in bringing
distribution losses to below 10% ;well below the 14% permissible by the
electricity regulator here in Uganda.
 The energy efficiency was pushed up to 2.9 units generated per liter
against a target of 3.0 imposed by the electricity regulatory authority in
Uganda.
 The collection efficiency of 98% agreed in the performance contract has
been surpassed by over 100%.
 The clientele base was broadened by over 20% since appointed
 Launched award-winning loss prevention programs that proved so
successful in deterring rampant power thefts (meter by passes and other
outright thefts in the power sector).
 Excelled in building and motivating staff members and the overall service
execution team.
 Successfully curtailed costs that were spiraling uncontrolled, delivered
available products to the satisfaction of the stakeholders, mitigated financial
risk and improved cash flow.
Uganda National Human Rights Commission
Assistant Accountant, (Moroto Regional Office), 2004 to 2008
Promoted to give administrative, financial and other supports in enhancement,
promotion and defense of Human rights that had been wantonly abused with
absolute impunity. The position was responsible for regional offices accounts and
support services, preparation of all financial reports and for ensuring the effective
and efficient management of all regional offices support services.
Key Results:
 Constructed the accounts of the Moroto regional office from scratch and
this earned me automatic confirmation in the service of Uganda Human
Rights Commission.
 Effectively procured and disposed of assets as a procuring and a disposing
entity in line with Uganda’s public procurement and disposal of assets’ Act
1998.
 Successfully filled VAT and other tax returns and properly accounted for the
monthly payroll deductions from the employees of the region and beyond.
 Using the public sector accounting approach, extracted timely periodic
financial returns and reports.
Gulu District Local Government (Ministry of Local Government, Uganda)
Accounts Assistant, 1995 to 2004.
Recruited to head the finance unit at the lower level local government. This was in
response to the decentralization policy that had just been adopted. The unit was in
charge of handling revenue assessments, collections and designing strategies to
collect all that had been assessed;which was geared towards the efforts to provide
financial resources to the lower local governments and revenue share with the
Centre.
