Key Projects
Implemented the first real-time online verification system (SAP) in South Africa. A Government Department could not achieve its mandate
to process applications and claims for financial assistance. Migrated 24 systems into a single implemented pilot, SAP Grantor Management
system. Achieved: World’s first bi-directional integrating Adobe Lifecycle Server forms management into SAP, first real time on-line verification
system in South Africa, first SA Government system to have real time integration between 12 Government Departments, resulting in 100%
time reduction in processing applications and claims, eliminated payment duplication, and drastically reduced risk and fraud exposure for
grants.
Reduced the risk exposure at Port of entries in South Africa. The South African Customs facilitates the movement of goods and people
entering or exiting South Africa by providing border control management, community protection and Industry protection. After 5 failed
attempts, a pilot paramilitary unit was implemented successfully as well detector dog units in 23 other port of entries. Achieved: First
civilian to present at the Joint Chiefs of Armed Forces meeting.
Established an integrated centre for operational tracking and control. Managed a program of National interest to South Africa in the
electricity supply sector. The company used historical data to manage real time power generation. Migrated and implemented a control
centre with an in-time, power generation supply chain management system, to strategically and tactically manage electricity supply.
Achieved 0% blackouts in South Africa but planned and managed load shedding.
Implementation and management of program and project management offices. Clients and management could not assess status, delivery
schedule or financial health of programmes and projects. Implemented an enterprise program and project management offices with
centralised prioritisation, scheduling and risk management. Introduced integrated dashboards for rapid, accurate reports. Achieved SARS
implementation was rated by Gartner 2004 as the “Leading EPMO in South Africa…” 25% average improvement in time and cost and 35%
gross margin per project.
Plan and led operational optimisation and automation. Clients required organisational modernisation. Delivered strategic programmes and
projects and migrated system and data focused on organisational modernisation and optimisation, improvement of sales effectiveness,
customer experience, operational excellence, incorporating new technology into business for maximum efficiency and/or compliance with
regulatory requirements. Achieved ROI of over 63% in bottom line saving.
