• Recently, attention had been shifted to the role of antioxidants in
mitigating the deleterious effects of oxidative damage. Beyond this,
the antioxidants and radical scavenging capacity of Fremyella
diplosiphon could be enhanced by salinity and nanoparticle mediated
stress. Therefore, this investigation becomes imperative as F.
diplosiphon antioxidant potential constitute therapeutic and
nutritional benefits to food and pharmaceutical industries

Oxidative stress is harmful to human body leading to several
metabolic disorders
Enzymatic, non enzymatic reactions and external sources such as
smoking, pollution, chemicals and exposure to radiations promote
free radical formation
Antioxidants rich in phenolics is capable of scavenging these free
radicals and protect biological systems.
Increasing risk factors of humans to debilitating disease is a serious
global concern occasioned by synthetic antioxidants. Hence, the call
for natural antioxidants enhanced by salinity and nanoparticles
