Introduction
 Father Jay Fostner draws upon more than two decades of
experience in his role as the vice president for Mission and
Student Affairs at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin.
An active member in higher education, Father Jay Fostner
belongs to professional groups such as the Association of
Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU).
Founded in 1899 by a group of more than 50 representatives
from Catholic institutions of higher education around the
United States, the ACCU has worked to strengthen the
Catholic mission at colleges and universities for more than
100 years. Today, the association helps its member
organizations forge a Catholic identity while pursuing the
worldwide goals of the Church through a range of
publications, research initiatives, and events such as the
ACCU Annual Meeting.

Association of Catholic Colleges
and Universities
 Held in Washington, DC on February 2019, the most
recent ACCU Annual Meeting brought together over
500 Catholic higher education leaders to discuss
strategies for boosting student enrollment and
academic achievement, training students for the
modern job market, and reinforcing positive narratives
about Catholic education. An opening liturgy
conducted by Rev. Jonathan DeFelice, the president
emeritus of Saint Anselm College, kicked off three
days of receptions, seminars, and plenaries on topics
ranging from fundraising in a difficult social and
political environment to decision-making strategies for
sitting college presidents.
