5.1.1 Dashes ( – ) vs Hyphens (-)
• Hyphen joins two or more words together
• Dash separates two words into parenthetical statements
• A dash is longer than a hyphen
• They look so similar that there is chance of confusion
• Hyphens are not separated by spaces
• while a dash has a space on either side
