Twitter is a social media platform that allows users to share short messages called tweets that are limited to 140 characters. Users can follow other accounts and see their tweets in their timeline. They can also mention or reply to other users, retweet messages, and send direct messages. Hashtags are used to categorize tweets by topic to organize conversations.

3. Follow, Follower and Unfollow
Follow: you subscribe to someone’s Tweets in your timeline.
Follower: another Twitter user who has followed you.
Unfollow: stop following another Twitter user. their Tweets
will no longer show up in your timeline.

4. Mention
including a @username in a Tweet. The mention will appear to
the @username you mentioned and to all of your followers. You
can see who mentioned you in the mention section of your
Twitter profile.
Retweet
Share someone’s Tweet, Just hit the Retweet button to send the
original message to all of your followers.
Tweet (noun):
A message posted via Twitter containing 140 characters or less.
Tweet (verb)
The act of posting a message through a Tweet.

5. Message (or DM)
A direct message (DM) is a private message that only you and
the recipient can see. To DM someone, start your Tweet with DM
or D, or click the direct message button.
@reply
a Tweet posted in reply to another user’s message. usually done
by clicking the “reply” button. @replies always begin with the
“@” symbol, follwed by the username.
Hashtag
add the hashtag symbol (#) before words or phrases in tweets to
categorize them for others or to organize conversations around
a theme. you can click on hashtags to see similarly-themed
Tweets.
