1. Synopsis
The plot to this idea is that there is a quite rural area where the last murder occurred over 10 years
ago who was Chief Detective Mac Jennings. Detective Kip Jennings is one of the main characters in
this novel; he is the son to Mac Jennings and is alone as his mother passed away after birth. For this
character this novel is about keeping and honouring his father’s name and his honour. Once Jennings
is informed of this murder case he is at first astounded that a murder was even possible after his
father’s death and decides to take on the challenge although little did Jennings know once all other
possible suspects were ruled out, he discovers that it is a member of the street that committed this
murder. Jennings begins to interview members on the street and starts to realise this case isn’t as
simple as he first assumed as each person has an alibi but none of them are legit. Jennings then
makes three assumptions of three main suspects and characters in this novel; the first is Jane Mayfair
who is a proud member of that street and married to another main character Mike Mayfair. Both these
characters have hidden agendas and disturbing pasts which begin to unravel as Jennings continues
into the investigation. An unsuspecting suspect is Connor Sherwood who has a disturbing past with
his wife who is the victim to this monstrous crime. Throughout the investigation more characters are
introduced to provide twists and turns in this already twisted crime, this leaves Jennings in a mind
disturbing situation which he must overcome in order to conquer this case. The main twist to this case
is that the person who committed the murder commits another which is discovered, then there is a
realisation through research of the crimes that this once trusting neighbour might not even be human.
