Values Statement
One of valuesisclose relationships.Ibelieve thatclose relationshipsare somethingthatyou
needinyoureverydaylife, whetherinthe workforce or inyour everydaytoday life.Close relationships
are somethingthatyouneedinordertokeepyourself sane,personallyIfeel thatif Iwasn’tclose with
anyone inmy life I’dbe amess.You needtobe able to talkto people andhave people togoto when
youhave a probleminyourlife ora bigdecisionorreallyanything,peopleneedpeopletotalkto.I also
feel thatclose relationshipsare valuable inthe workforce,Iwantto be the guy that walksintoworkand
everyone knowsandsayshelloto.Ialsowantto be on a firstname basiswithall of my bosses,Iwantto
be able to go out to dinnersoreventswithpeople atmyworkand enjoyitand have fun.
Anothervalue Ihave isloyalty. Itake great pride inbeingloyal toeveryoneinmylife,
throughoutmyhighschool careerI onlyhad one joband stayedat that joband washappy to be there
no matterwhat.It didn’tmatterto me that my friendswere workingmore hoursandmakingmore
moneythanme.I wantedto stayat the same place because that’swhatI wasraisedon.Both of my
parentshave beenatthe same jobsfortheirentire workcareersandthey’re verywell respectedand
well knownattheircareers.Loyaltyissomethingthatcompanieswanttheiremployeestohave too.I
feel thatloyaltycreatesjobsecurity,if youstayloyal toa companythey’re goingtowantto keepyou
aroundevenwhentimesgettough.Iplanon beingatthe same jobfor myentire workingcareer.
Wealthisanotherone of myvalues.Ihate whenpeople say“moneyisn’teverything” and
“moneycan’tbuy happiness”sure these statementshave some truthtothembutI know that I want to
be doingsomethingthathasme livingmore thanjustcomfortably.Iwanttobe able todo whateverI
wantand not have to say doI reallyhave enoughmoneyforthis?Iwantto be able tomake enough
moneythatme andmy kidshave a betterlife thanIdidgrowingup andin orderto do that I have to
make a good amountof moneybecause myparentsneverstruggled.WealthisjustsomethingthatIfeel
isneeded.Everythingyouwanttodo now a days requiresmoneyandIdon’twantto justbe skatingby
for the restof mylife.
Meaningful workisanothersomethingthatIvalue.People alwayssayif youdosomethingthat
youlove you’ll neverworkadayin yourlife,andthat’swhere Iwantto be at my job.I wantto wake up
everydayand actuallywantto go to work.I alsowantto be doingsomethingthatIhave a strong
passionfor.Workinganddoingsomethingthatyou love makestime gobyso much fastertoo.WhenI
workedat mynursinghome jobduringhighschool I wasa dietaryaid,while beingadietaryaidisn’tthe
mostglamorousjob.Workingwitholdpeople wassomethingthatIreallyenjoyed.KnowingthatIwas
goingto see people thatIbuilta relationshipwithandIenjoytalkingtoisprobablyone of the greatest
feelings.Itjustmakesyouhappyto go to workand I feel thatif I’mnot doingsomethingIlove andI’m
not aroundsomethingIlove workisjustgoingto be a drag and eventuallyI’mnotgoingtowant to do it
anymore.

2. Anotherone of my valuesismyreputation. Iwantto have a goodreputationinall aspectsof my life.My
reputationissomethingthat’simportanttome,Icare about whatpeople thinkandsayaboutme.I
wantto be knownandwell respectedbyall of mypeers.Ialsowantto be at the same job forall of my
career, I want tobe the guy that people cangoto and know that I’mnot goingto letthemdown.Iwant
to be well knownandrespected.If youdon’thave agood reputationespeciallythisdayinage isterrible
for youbecause wordtravelsfast. Youwant to have a goodreputationespeciallywhenyou’re startingto
buildupa resume foryour career,specificallyininternships.Becausewhenyou’re applyingforjobsand
theycall your internship(s)andaskhowyouwere as a workeryou wantthemto speakhighlyof you
otherwise it’sgoingtobe prettytoughforyou toget that job.Noone wants someone withabad
reputationtoworkfor them.
