2. History and Meaning
The United States and Canada celebrate thanksgiving. It is
modeled after a feast that the indians and colonists shared
in 1621. Today, it is a day where families gather to eat lots of
food and reflect on everything they are thankful for in their
lives.
Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and
pumpkin pie are some of the traditional foods that are eaten
on thanksgiving.
American football is also a very popular sport to play and or
watch on thanksgiving in America.
