How ErP affects the manufacturer Energy labelling & ECO design requirements • Agreed European test methods for measuring efficiency, CO2, Noise NOx etc • New models with high efficiency pumps • Every affected domestic product has an energy label • All literature, web sites etc has ErP information for customers and installers. • Review and update European technical standards. • ECO design also applies to domestic and commercial product up to 400kw • Energy labelling up to 70kW
- 6. The Energy Label • A label identifying the energy efficiency of products • Must be visible on the product and any documents about the product.

- 9. Energy Labelling & a well informed Installer Educate the customer • The potential to save energy • Upgrade their heating to energy efficient systems • Save money over the life time of the system. A well informed installer can sell more energy efficient systems.

What do installers need to know? • Responsible for providing a label for every system installed – (Boiler & Controls/solar) • Manufacturers will supply label for their own products • Installers must generate a package label even when using different manufacturers product e.g. Boiler- controls - cylinder • Mandatory
- 12. Use it to sell more products • 12.5m inefficient boilers in UK homes • 4.6m homes don’t have heating controls • You can use the energy label to demonstrate upgrading to energy efficient systems and savings Sell more products
