To sanctify means to be made holy, to be
set apart.

7. THE RESULTS OF SANCTIFICATION
Peace in Hebrew form is ‘shalom’ meaning
wholeness, lacking in nothing leading to
contentment. Unhappiness is normally
because we lack something.
Matthew Henry a Bible scholar wrote
“Those only are happy, truly happy, that are
holy, truly holy,…goodness and holiness are
not only the way to happiness but
happiness itself.”

17Sanctify them in the truth; your word is
truth.

26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in my name, he will teach you

9. THEWAY OF SANCTIFICATION
Sanctification is a process.
I am not what I might be, I am not what I
ought to be, I am not what I wish to be, I am
not what I hope to be. But I thank God I am
not what I once was, and I can say with the
great apostle, "By the grace of God I am what I
am.
