If this is what an ambassador is, what is an ambassador for Christ? First of all, it’s a believer. “We are, therefore, ambassadors of Christ.” All believers are ambassadors of Christ – whether they like it or not. A believer who stands between a sovereign – of course, Christ is our Sovereign King – and a foreign subject – our foreign subject is the dying world – to communicate a message. Our message is a message of reconciliation with God. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. So Christ has a message that he wants to communicate to a dying world and as His ambassadors, His representatives, He has given them that gospel and sent them out to communicate that message to the world. “Go, therefore, and makes disciples of all nations…”
