It is impossible for us to know who we are in Christ if we don’t know the Christ in us.
1 John 4:4 - “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in
you is greater than he who is in the world.”
We cannot activate the power in our identity, if we don’t even know what power we even
have.
John 14: 26 – “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will
teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”
Through the Power and the leading of the Holy Spirit within us, we are not only able to
know our identity in Christ put we have the power to show forth this identity.
7. IDENTITY IN CHRIST

may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;
Free from the power of sin
Romans 8:2 - And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin

8. LIVING IN OUR IDENTITY
Romans 12:1-2
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday,
ordinary life, your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around
life, and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for
you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted
to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your
attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily
recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the
culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity,
God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Romans 12:1-2
And DO NOT BE CONFORMED to this world (any longer with its

that you may prove (for yourselves) what the will of God is, that which is
good and acceptable and perfect (in His plan and purpose for you).

demons, sitting there at his feet, dressed and in his right mind”

“By the renewing of your mind (focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes)”
In order for us to live a set-apart life and be assured in our identity in Christ we must renew our
minds.
