Miriam-Webster dictionary explains ‘a calling’ as-
“a strong inner impulse toward a particular course
of action, especially when accompanied by
conviction of divine influence.”

do?
Your Job/ Career/ Life work can be viewed
as a Carrier to achieving/fulfilling your
calling in God
7. What is a Vision?
• Prov 29:18
“The act or power of seeing ”
“the exceptional ability to know or believe what
should happen or be done in the future”
8. Examples of Vision
statements
Example 1:
I have shed 15 pounds/ kgs , and couldn't be
happier or healthier. I have also completed my
higher education and cleared all my backlogs,
where I'm one step closer to my dream job.
(Written two years in advance)
9. Example 2:
I have broken my addiction , finally. I've been
12months clean, loving life and people and I’m
now counseling people on how to be free.
10. Example 3:
Glory to God my prayers have been answered my
family has been restored mum and dad are loving
each other, my brothers and sisters are no longer
fighting we are preparing to go to church
together.
11. Example 4:
My country has been declared corruption free,
no more murders in the street, hundreds are
being saved by the day and Revival and
revolution is happening .
13. • a vision statement talks about where a
person/organization wants to be in the future
in terms of growth, achievements, and
development.
• A mission statement chalks out the things that
need to be done in the present, while going
forward in order to get there someday.
14. Vision is Future, Mission is the present steps to
be taken to get there

•Do 10 pushups a day , walk up the stairs and not
use the elevator and drink more water. Eat clean
and avoid oily foods to constantly remind myself
that I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.
16. Did our Lord Jesus have a
Vision?
• John 10:10, :The thief comes only to steal and
kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full.
• John 3:16 , John 1:4- In him was life, and the
life was the light of men.
17. What about His Mission?
• Is 61:1” The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on
me, because the LORD has anointed me to
proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent
me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
freedom for the captives and release from
darkness for the prisoners,”
• Luke 19:10:”The son of man came to seek and
save the Lost”

who you are- Examples are like, integrity, justice,
flexibility, love, hope, righteousness

ask Yourself
• What things captivate/ fascinate you?
• What is it when you see it done makes you feel
like, I would like to do that too?
• What is it when you see being done badly
really disturbs you and makes you think I could
do it better?

stopped doing?
• What words have been spoken over you
prophesy or laying on of hands? 1Tim 4:14

• Insecurities: Feelings of inadequacies
• Finances (poverty mindset)
