My Passion for Teaching
I take this opportunity to express my desireand passion to become a special
education teacher of an excellent faculty, a staff who takes pride in providing a
therapeutic environment to the students under their care. As a team player, I will
assistat-risk children and students with emotional and behavior disorders in
becoming productiveyoung adults socially as well as academically. I look forward
to the opportunity to implement my dedication, passion, and professionalismin
working with students of special needs.
Working with young people who display MM/CC disabilities covers a wide range
of inabilities that I have encountered in my classroomenvironment. I havebeen
around children with many behavioral and learning challenges such as aggression,
passive-aggression, immaturity, hyperactivity, impulsivity and withdrawal. Allof
these student disabilities can be challenging and I welcome the task to educate
these future scholars. Honestcommunication, fairness, respect, and humor are
tools I useto engage our students who may be aggressiveor display externalizing
behaviors; I usethe same tools to influence our students who exhibit
internalizing behaviors.
Dealing with different challenges and unpredictable situations in my life has made
my educational toolbox sparklewith a vigorous confidence, allegiance and a
positive attitude. As an exceptional education teacher, I love the daily
opportunity to see ALL students become excited aboutlearning and I capitalize on
every teachable moment.
