2. Brief description of activity being observed: Grease workshops
Members of the group: Ellie, Betsy, Rebecca, Ramy, Erin and 3 extra
Observering: Every Cast Member for the first run through
• Project voices throughout the performance so that all audiences members are able to hear and
articulate all words.
• When there is the freeze frames during scene one, do not look at the opposite group.
• The script after the song ‘Summer Nights’ needs to be a lot quicker as it felt awkward.
• The sleep over scene feels very slow, cast members need to confidently know lines and deliver
them with confidence.
• Freddy my love needs some rehearsal time as it feels unorganised and messy.
• The intro into ‘Born to Hand Jive’ needs more reaction before each cast member starts to scatter
out into formation. Consider more blocking and script after the jive so that the scene flows.
• The chorus is weak within ‘You’re The One That I Want’, needs to be a lot stronger and confident.
• Transitions need to be considered for each scene.
• Constantly stay in character, never break character whilst on stage.
• Energy is not showing within dance numbers. The energy needs to be there otherwise the
performance falls flat.
