4. SALOTEAM OY, PROJECT ENGINEER 3/2008-4/2013
Mechanical designer of assembly jigs to Electronical devices production lines. The main tool was SolidWorks 3D CAD.
Also maintenance and user manuals and technical support world wide. Main tools were photographing, Adobe CC –tools,
writing in Finnish and in English. I also participated inmarketing design. Due to confidentiality agreement I can only show
pictures from the company website and catalogue. Those are similar to the ones I designed.

5. LAITILAN RAUTARAKENNE OY DESIGNER 8/2006-2/2008
Laitilan Rautarakenne Oy is
manufacturing large firewood
machines under brand JAPA. 80%
of the production is export. My
first task was to renew the
manuals for the machines. I wrote
the texts in manuals in Finnish,
English and Swedish myself.
(Other languages from interpreter
office). In Laitilan Rautarakenne
Oy I got a change to use my
creativity in many ways. Most
important new thing I learned was
SolidWorks program. I also
learned backs of hydraulic
technique. For Adobe Indesign
and Illustrator programs I got
good routine (for PhotoShop I had
a routine from the beginning).

6. EZZI T:MI, INTERIOR DESIGN AND LUMINAIRE SHOP 2/2004 - 8/2006
I had my own little
luminaire shop and
I also offered
interior design for
my clients.

7. REFERENCE OF INTERIOR DESIGN, OLD DOCTOR’S RESIDENCE
Previous owner had made
alternations, that the new
owner didn’t like. They
wanted to return the
original spirit of the
building. Arched doors
were changed back to
double doors and
wallpapers changed to be
more calm. Outer layer of
fireplace were dismantled
and a bricklayer renewed
the looks along my
drawings. Lighting and
some furniture was
changed. Dining table
chairs got washable
covers, better for a family
with five children.

8. REFERENCE OF INTERIOR DESIGN, OFFICE LANDSCAPE
Traditional cubical office of 6 was
changed into open office for 14 due
to changes in organization. More
interaction was wanted, bot not in
the expence of privacy and peace
to work. Budjet was limited: most
of the furniture are those the
workers had used in last workspace.
The lay-out is very different now.

9. PHILIPS IDMAN OY PRODUCT DESIGNER 3/1998 – 1/2004
I worked as a designer for office
and bathroom luminaires at
Idman factory that belonged to
Philips Lighting division. I did the
whole design proccess fron
sketches to 3D modelling,
manufacturing drawing, internal
electrical wire connection
drawings and assembly
instructions. Some of the
products I designed were in
Philips word wide catalogue still
10 years after designing. I’m still a
member in Valotekninen seura,
Finnish Illuminating Engineering
Society, and participate the
seminars several times yearly.
Recent seminars have been about
LED technologies. I have also
studied lighting design on the
courses of the society.

10. PUUSTELLI TOIMISTOT OY INTERIOR DESIGNER 8/1992 – 2/1998
My first fixed position was Interior designer at
PuustelliToimistot Oy office furniture factory. Main
tasks were lay-out design for the major customers
and offer calculation. Sometimes also franchising
stores ordered interior design from me. I used
AutoCAD for lay-outs and Excel based calculation
program for offers.
I designed fair stands and photographed furniture
sets for catalogues.
I had a change to design free form shapes in tables,
which were fashionable at the time.
Whenever possible I also visited customers in the
beginning of projects.
I turned 3D modelling the main competitive factor,
since other office furniture companies didn’t use it
in early 90’s. The customer found it easier to
understand what kind of office they were buying
than from 2D plan only. I also did my best to make
interiors more personal and inspiring. The pictures
are from Puustelli Toimistot catalogue 1995, making
of which I participated.

For places like shopping centers or stations,
new idea in the beginning of 90’s. My task was
to design the housing and Inside adjustable
fastenings for a CRT display and a computer.
Option for keyboard and/or sound were
required also.
