1) Successfully achieved year end, 2014 facility audits for GBW Internal Audit; TTX Audit; AAR M-1003/M-214
Audit; AAR Advanced Auditor Mock Training Audit (Hosted 17each. Training Auditors); and AAR M.I.D. Audit
with successful and accepted Root Cause and Corrective Action Controls.
2) Successfully brought the Mira Loma-1 QA Team and Program up to speed in a six (6) month period; adding
additional staff and directing quality.
3) Successfully re-aligned the Quality Program, previous outstanding corrective actions, procedures, training
required, special process certifications, calibration and welding program; including wrecks, all re-aligned and
back into compliance and am now working with TTX Quality and our Own GBW Quality to ensure quality
directives and expectations throughout the year… This includes working with Production personnel to
successfully meet our production and quality goals.
LIST AN AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT:
More knowledge of the railroad industry overall.
Although, I am working diligently through the Railroad business, operations and quality required in and of the
industry, I am interested in more Root Cause Analysis Training as it relates to this specific industry and am
working on my AAR Rule and MSRP general awareness and Customer M.I. knowledge and expectations.
DIRECT MANAGER COMMENTS (Performance/Development/etc.):
Ed. has done an excellent job at adapting and fitting in to the Quality Assurance Manager role at ML1. He has
performed superb in managing the multiple challenges and driving quality upstream. He is a very strong
manager and does a great job for Quality Assurance and GBW and always leads by example. Ed. understands
his role in quality assurance and is driven to continually improve the program and the team members
involved.
Opportunities and Goals for ED.:
• Continue to improve relations with onsite customer (TTX QA) We TTX/GBW working for one common goal
• Increase knowledge and understanding of this industry such as AAR Office (billing) and Field Manual, TTX WI
and Billing requirements, Specification M214, D15.1, GBW policies and procedures.
• RCCA class with in the next 3 months
• Migrate to fully managing the Inbound Inspectors within 6 months
