The University of Minnesota Law School Clinic Program offers more than 20 unique clinics each year that give law students hands-on experience working with real clients. This program is a cornerstone of the University of Minnesota's legal education curriculum and allows future lawyers to gain practical skills in a variety of legal practice areas. While not mandatory, over half of the law school's students choose to participate in one or more clinics, where they represent clients under the supervision of clinic faculty.

• As faculty member at the University of Minnesota,

help University of Minnesota students develop the

One of the cornerstones of the University of
Minnesota legal education curriculum is its clinic
program, which gives future lawyers the chance to
work with real clients and gain practical experience.

3. Law School Clinic Program
• The program offers more than 20 unique clinics
each year, enabling students interested in a wide
variety of legal practice areas to gain the applied
experience that will help them launch their careers.
The program is not mandatory for law students, but
more than half of the school's students ultimately
choose to participate in one or more clinics. The
program has the support of the Minnesota Supreme
Court by way of the Student Practice Rule, which
permits law students to represent clients in both
court and administrative proceedings provided they
are supervised by clinic faculty.
