A support prop fell from 14th to 7th floor in lift shaft, injuring a worker, on 30th July 2017 at one of our projects. Due to weight of the prop and the height of fall, the prop went half way through a scaffolding overhead protection (canopy) and hit the shoulder of a worker who was working under the platform. The incident resulted in a fracture to his right shoulder.

To reduce the distance of fall,overheadprotectionshouldbe provided every2to 3 levels.
Openingstoliftshaftsare to be fullyprotectedwithasecure,full height meshsystemeliminating
the riskof materialsfalling.
