2. COMPANYPROFILE
Incorporated in 1992 and headquartered in Singapore, with research and development centres in
Japan and China, PATEC originally started as a Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of high perform-
ance mechanical press machines (Link Motion) and robotic systems.
In 2001, PATEC diversified into components manufacturing and subsequently established manufac-
turing facilities in China, Indonesia and Hungary. Through the years, PATEC strengthened its core
competencies in the development of integrated engineering solutions, by constantly seeking to
understand and exceed the demands of the metal forming industry.
With an in-house global manufacturing infrastructure, PATEC provides a full suite of metal forming
expertise, specialising in fine-blanking, cold forging and metal stamping. Coupled with in-house tool/
die design and fabrication facilities in Singapore and China, PATEC supports customers who require
concept testing, process conversion evaluation, turnkey manufacturing and series manufacturing.
Today, PATEC Group employs more than 1000 staff in 2 research locations, 5 production sites, and 6
service centres worldwide. PATEC celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012 and continues to relentlessly
pursue excellence and create value for our customers, suppliers and staff.
ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS
PATEC specialises in the Original Design Manufacturing of high precision mechanical press machines
(tonnage ranging from 100 to 1000 tons), robotics transfer, feeder and other ancillary support sys-
tems. PATEC also develops, fabricates and tests precision tools in-house, for custom applications
and process conversions.
Link Motion Drive Technology
PATEC’s Link Motion Drive technology is available on all PATEC press machines. With our patented
eccentric link motion drive, the slide velocity decreases by up to 40% during the working portion
of the stroke, so the material flows more effectively. At the same time, this allows the non-working
portion of the stroke to increase in velocity, so as to maintain a high production rate.
The result is a better quality part at higher production rates. In addition, slower speed through the
working stroke reduces tool impact, snap-through, noise and vibration, thereby increasing machine
and tool life.
COMPONENTS MANUFACTURING
PATEC subsidiaries include manufacturing locations in China,
Indonesia and Hungary. These subsidiaries supply precision
metal formed components and sub-assembled components
to leading automotive and electronics companies throughout
the world.
PATEC HUNGARY
PATEC Precision LTD is the youngest subsidiary of the PATEC
Group was established in 2008 located in Miskolc Hungary
with current workforce of 100. As a TIER2 Automotive supplier
currently producing components for wiper, gasoline, exhaust
systems. These systems are installed in well known brands such
as AUDI, BMW, Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen. The means of
constant investments the capacity and scale of activities of the
company were continuously enlarged and in line with the strict
specifications of the automotive industry more and more the
outstanding quality came to the foreground.
