Managed Mobile WAN Service
JT (Jersey Telecom) has designed a Managed Mobile WAN
Connectivity solution from the SIM up. JT M2M SIMs (all SIM
form factors available) have all superfluous code and settings
removed. There is no PLMN list, no Java apps, no steering
apps, and everything on the SIM is minimized around an M2M
OS with the objective of allowing the device and the network to
manage connectivity, not the SIM.
JT’s geo-redundant, highly resilient network architecture sup-
ports the world’s largest financial institutions. The Mobile Core
has been entirely refreshed in the past 12 months. JT’s ITIL
processes define Change Management ensure network de-
velopment and maintenance is conducted in a controlled and
reliable fashion.

SIM Management Platform
Deep network control and insight.
All of our customers report our

Non-Steered, Open Roaming SIM
Free network attach and detach from
every network in the UK and 530 other
networks globally. Absolutely no logic on
the SIM or in the network that prefers a
particular network unless upon request.
Autocab Coverage Control
Dynamically take networks in and out of
coverage on individual SIMs or groups of
SIMs for diagnostic purposes. If a single
device is having issues, JT (or you) can
temporarily remove that network from
coverage, reboot the SIM and re-test. This
removes the mobile network as a cause of
problems at the first line.
If a given operator is having regional or
local issues with GPRS, we can dynamically
and easily remove that operator temporarily
from coverage to increase successful read
rates.
Persistent Mode Support
JT has always supported and will
continue to support this mode.
JT’s recent network core upgrade
provides it with functionally limit-
less network capacity.
Real Time Data
JT’s NOMAD platform shows in real time
whether a session is active, which net-
work the device is attached to, which Cell
ID it is attached to and the past 48 hours
of sessions. We use Diameter, not Radius.

Unique Platform Functions
JT’s SIM Management platform offers unrivalled depth and breadth. Uniquely among service providers, JT opens its
network controls to customers as widely as possible. For our customers, we provide Dynamic Coverage Control. This
means customers (or JT Service Management Staff) can add depth to their first line diagnostic by removing certain
networks (temporarily or permanently) from coverage for individual or groups of SIMs. This prevents truck rolls and
increases service levels.
In this scenario, if a given device is experiencing problems and it has been on O2 (for example), users can easily take O2 out
of coverage, reboot the SIM, and analyse again.
In our metering customers’ experience, this prevents truck rolls and adds an important layer to first line support.
