SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Planned and facilitated serial of trainings includes Minimum Initial Service package
(MISP) , Rape case management and CHANNEL/CCM to support the states to
establish RH Commodity Security (RHCS) system.
Consolidated UNFPA (Sudan) GBV inputs for 2014 Humanitarian Work Plan including
development of the UNFPA GBV proposal, CHF concept notes, CERF proposal for
2014.
Strengthened UNFPA partnership with local authorities including Ministries of health and
social welfares.
Convened policy makers in WNS to increase funding towards investment for the
Maternal and Child Health (MCH) related activities.
Supported and leaded establishment of Maternal and Child mortality reduction
committees including Maternal Death Review in WNS through high-level advocacy.
Provided technical support on developing 5 years (2011-2015) Maternal and Newborn
Mortality Reduction (MNMR) road map plan for the state.
Significantly contributed to efforts that have led to dramatic reduction of maternal
mortality in WNS from 2006 to 2010.
Promoted women health and Saved IDPs women lives (Zero maternal deaths) through
timely respond to emergency obstetric cases.
