equity in a coal mining operation, Mashala Resources (part of the Unihold Group), TSS Telecommunications, Cape Fresh
Produce Market, Rentokil South Africa, Inyanga is a BEE investment company with an equity stake in African Health
Networks which owns the Southern African rights to UCB Pharmaceuticals and Schwartz Pharma products, an asset
management company and West Dunes Properties property company, including various smaller companies within the
private equity deals; sold Izinkambo Investment equity in 2010.
Phuma Communications:
 Managed 24.5% shareholding ownership with the company. Still a shareholder in this company. The company has just sold
an equity stake in a telecommunications company and was in the process of looking at investments in the petrochemical
and mining sector.
Matla Renewables:
 Matla Renewables was a company specializing in renewable energy such as solar heating systems, solar photovoltaic
system, battery backup and inverter systems and wind power solutions. Matla is at present in discussions with Greenheart
Energy from the UK to form a consortium to establish a concentrated solar power plant in the Eskom solar project in the
Northern Cape.

 A Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) company which was launched by numerous founding shareholders.
Key Roles & Accountabilities:
 Was one of five founding shareholders with approximately 6% shareholding ownership [being the biggest single shareholder
within the company] with a subsequent appointment to Executive Directorship level.
 Effectively structured a business deal which accumulated sufficient cash flow to fund the initial requirements for the
company, via the acquisition of a pharmaceutical distribution company.
 Successfully acquired an additional equity stake in another pharmaceutical distribution company.
 Adhered to all matters related to the business as an Executive Director of the board, an employee of UIH and as a member
of the executive committee, including the main board.
 Transformed the company to a public company via a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange OTC [Over
the Counter] desk, while developing a prospectus with the assistance of various auditors and legal firms.
 Was productively involved in all mergers, acquisitions and bids, and completed numerous government bids in conjunction
with various national and international partners.
 UIH and the directors of UIH were the initiating and senior partners in the bid for the third cellular phone licence and won the
bid. This led to formation of Cell C. The company’s partners consisted of a local broad based consortium of BEE
companies, including Saudi-Auger [a multi-billion dollar company belonging to the Hariri family from Lebanon].
 Was the lead BEE partner in the successful bidding and growth of a hotel, leisure and gaming complex; The Emerald
Resort and Casino, with London Clubs International and Malaysian investors.
 Participated with the other directors in mergers and acquisitions; healthcare, precision engineering, telecommunications,
property development, steel manufacturing plant and specialist packaging sectors.
 The company followed a process of selling off all assets barring the Cell C asset and bought back shares in UIH from the
market to reduce the number of shares in circulation and efficiently bought a more enhanced stake within the Cell C
establishment.

with a radiographer and facilities to develop X-rays, waiting room and reception facilities with a networked IT system for
administrative and medical applications.
 Performed effective staff management operations constituent of a dynamic in-house team of architects, draughtsman,
medical staff, accounting and administrative staff, as well as a personal assistants and a town planner who all had direct
lines of reporting to him.
 Oversaw external consultants [project and construction managers, quantity surveyors and construction companies] in order
to develop cost effective models to construct clinics in the most accessible and visible positions; property negotiations and
purchasing, zoning issues with municipalities, bulk service requirements, power requirements, guided the architects with the
clinic designs, developed and adjudicated tender documents with quantity surveyors, negotiated final pricing, performed site
visits and ensured that all clinics were fully equipped prior to the opening thereof.

 Acted as a representative of Medicross on the PTMC board and was appointed as a member and the Medical Advisor for
