Kardio Group Responsibilities and Duties
 Worked in collaboration with the Founder of Kardio Group to design, monitor and manage the structure
of the business to ensure adherence to Domestic and International Structures
 Created, communicated and implemented the organisational Vision and Mission alongside the
implementation of the organisational strategy
 Worked closely with each team (Creative Director, IT, Social Media and Public Relations) to launch the
company and setting a rapport for online and traditional media communications, the mobile application
and managed the income and expenditure for the launch
 Directly managing and overseeing the work of the Executive Team, including the CTO and COO and
FD, Creative Director, Company Secretary, Managing Director and the PA (to the CEO)
 Reporting to the Board of Directors and Shareholders on a regular basis, seeking guidance where
necessary, implementing the strategic plan and ensuring that operations are in line with the strategic
plans
 Continually evaluating the success of the organisation, providing leadership vision and implementing
leadership strategies that attracts followers
 Ensuring compliance to Legal and Financial Management Regulations; in summation, this entails
constantly updating knowledge of best practices and relevant legislation relating to the business,
collaborating with Shareholders and the Company Secretary to formulate relevant documentation,
managing contracts, managing trademark applications, due diligence for new shareholders/partners and
worked closely with the Auditors
 Staying abreast with trends, conducting competitor analysis and new industry developments
 Cultivating an understanding of the African Consumer. Establishing new business contacts in the African
Markets by conducting in depth research
 Playing a pivotal role in pricing negotiations with suppliers. The Euro/Rand outlook, political factors and
varying economic conditions needed to be consistently evaluated and monitored for current and future
pricing negotiations.
 Cultivating an understanding of the South African medical landscape market to overcome hurdles in this
market
 Providing clear direction to the PR Team
 Attending seminars and conferences upon request and finding ways to improve the technology in the
business
 Tasked with actively monitoring and checking the IT infrastructure; which entailed interrogating system
rules, the mobile application, adjusting the rules for the South African market, sourcing independent
testing for the entire system and reviewed and negotiated all Developer Agreements and Costing
 Leading theHR process by hiringa Consultant, managingemployeecontracts,creatingacontinuityplan,
ensuring adherence to HR policies, created an Employee Value Proposition and managed the
performance review system
 In collaboration with the Company Secretary, led and managed the company registration process and
various other registrations for 3 subsidiary companies and the Holding Company
 Leading theMarketingand Sales Functionforall threesubsidiary companies, whichentailedestablishing
the Pricing and Distribution Model for both the Product and Service Model; in addition, the role entails
the following:
o Researching all potential types of clients, identifying key players and making contact
o Expanding the business outside of the medical industry into the realms of Insurance and Finance
o Creating presentations to suit each customer personally, presenting business proposition to various
parties both in the insurance, finance, investment and medical spheres
o Creating the Briefs for media houses to run the company’s marketing campaigns alongside
managing the tender process
o Manging Social Media and Buzz team which entails overseeing content and provided direction on
campaigns
o Creating the content Quick Start Guide, the training content for The Kardiofit ER24 Agents as well
as the Sales Script and Situational scripts for the Kardiofit ER24 Agents
o Calling all new customers to thank them personally for signing up and managing all customer
complaints
o Created both Private Sector and Government Sector models and identified devices and technology
for a lower LSM
o Amongst a range of publications and media outlets, the company has featured on CNBC,702, Cliff
central, Business Day, Destiny and Longevity
 Leading the Financial Management Process by establishing banking relationships, managing banking
operations for the company and managing internal and local payments
 Managing the company investment portfolio, managing relationships with debtors and creditors,
company cash flow, maintaining all budgets, controlling income and expenditure, maintaining banking
relationships and researching Payment Gateway and Direct Merchant Solutions
 Tasked with leading logistical operations; which entails building logistical relationships for shipping and
couriering and developing a distribution model for Business to Business and Business to Consumer
 Managing all logistical aspects of the company - warehousing, insurance, customer service, call centre,
repairs and returns and courier services
 Establishingandmaintainingrelationships withsuppliers andpartners alongsideworking on all contracts
with the relevant Legal teams
 Held weekly management meetings and Quarterly Board meetings to effectively manage the team as a
whole
 Researched and created a monthly communication for existing client base, partners, and
subscribers with the aid of the Creative director.
 With no medical experience; successfully built myself up, learnt and interacted with the key players
in the industry in under 9 months
 Liaised with the media with regard to our offering and business, well presented and articulated in
all interviews
