rather than going for a single display.

logical manner. Picture frames should be placed at eye height,
which is about 5-6 feet off the ground.
• Pictures should be displayed where they will be liked.
• When hanging a painting over a sofa, it should be low enough to be
part of a grouping but high enough to avoid contact with a person's
head when leaning back or sitting.
• Only when an artwork is large and essential enough to draw
attention should it be hung alone.

• Accessories need to be placed to attract the attention of the eyes. The accessories with the same
color and shapes create a unity element.

• Accessories can be used to fill the empty spaces.
• Whenever the shapes and heights of accessory groups are varied, they become more interesting.
• If there are too many items of the same shape, it might get monotonous. Whenever accessories
are placed together, however, they must all have something in common. It might be because of
the size, shape, material, or color.
• The best way to appreciate figured or decorated accessories is to place them against a plain
background. Whenever inexpensive items are placed together and arranged correctly, they might
appear to be very expensive.
• Irregular-shaped bottles displayed on shelves in front of a window can be more dramatic than an
expensive painting in a dark corner of the room.
