charts that passed through lab , called patients with results or faxed results , kept all OSHA
standards up to date , dispose of sharps properly, label and date all sharp containers and red bags
, order all stock for lab , date and rotate all stock for lab and checked expiration date, keep all
latest information on lab test in proper books , kept Doctors updated on latest ICD codes for
ordering lab test, made a list of most common codes used and updated it regularly, followed up
on all lab requests to receive results in a timely manner, called labs to add on tests Drs needed,
kept lab clean and sterilize lab daily , gave patients Flu and B12 shots, put patients in rooms ,
took vital signs and weight, updated patients medication sheets, assisted Drs in rectal exams,
printed out copies of updated Dr schedules several times a day, helped nurses set
up patient's charts for next day , called back approval on scripts to drug stores and properly
documented , faxed scripts back to drug stores and properly documented, answer phones and
took messages for Doctors , scheduled appointments for patient when needed, filed patient's
charts, filed pre-file in patient's charts, made sure all charts had proper
yearly sticker, rotated previous year's charts from main file and put inside filing cabinets, then
moved charts inside filing cabinet to back and box up charts that were in back for storage
Assisted with billing when in office, putting ICD codes and charges in computer, instructed Co-workers
in computer skills. Kept lab statistics on a monthly basis
for a year with graphs and totals, did colon consults when short of help.

be drawn, made sure all stats were drawn immediately , sent discharge patient results to medical
records, Took lab reports to doctors in medical building next door, mailed lab reports to doctors

patient armbands to orders to assure correct patient, doubled checked to make sure I had proper
tubes for each test ordered and made
sure each tube was properly labeled with patients name and ID number, drew bloods in ER.

Answered phones , filed, ordered test in computers, logged in specimens delivered specimens to
proper departments to expedite the running of the test, helped nurses order test in computers ,
gave results to doctors and nurses over phones, faxed and mailed results , put final lab results of
the day on each patients chart, prepared samples of
serum to send to outside labs for testing, filed all outside lab reports.
