Who would be the audience for your
media product?

2. RESEARCH
• Our radio bulletin was specifically based for the area of Hampstead, so that the
news that we included had to be specific and relevant to the people who ae living
within the Hampstead area.
• When conducting some questionnaires within Hampstead we gained vital
information about what residents of the Hampstead area want to know about what
is going on within Hampstead, no matter if it was good news or bad news, they
wanted to be informed with the latest incidents that was being involved within the
Hampstead area.

3. WHY PEOPLE WANT TO LISTEN TO
OUR RADIO BULLETIN
• Additionally, it was noted that residents of Hampstead wanted to find a news
medium upon were they would find local news stories as that there’s several
newspapers within the area (Such as: westhampsteadlife.com and The Camden
News Journal), and so wanted to hear news verbally, in the form of radio, and so
they can listen to their news in the background or on their commute to wherever
they may be heading. Residents of Hampstead, wanted to know relevant news as
that they are either living or working within Hampstead, as that news that we will
provide them will affect them in one sense or another, and so the will want to be
updated upon Hampstead’s latest on goings.

4. THROUGH OUR NEWS STORIES
• We also attracted our audience through the use of our news stores, as that
Hampstead is seen as a particular wealthy area, with most people working within
central London, and with the London tube strike being one of our news stories. This
would attract our local audience as of how the commuting services around
Hampstead will be affected and will be impactful as on how forms of transport will
be limited and so will impact commuters within Hampstead, in which we gained
their opinions through our vox-pops.

5. THROUGH OUR NEWS STORIES (2)
• Within our news bulletin, we had a story upon a recent stabbing within West
Hampstead by Billy Fury Way, this will be impactful as that this is a major issue
resulting from the past couple of months, and with it being the heart of West
Hampstead, it will make commuters wary about the particular area of Billy Fury way,
and to be on the lookout within that area, as of how their safety within this area has
been impacted due to the nature of the recent stabbings within West Hampstead.
