Editor's Notes

  1. Let me first tell you a few word about me. I studied cold chain and food engineering, graduated in 2010. I had several intermediary jobs during high school and students years. My first and second job was related to warehousing. First I was a WH operator, handling client and deliveries, second job was more related to stock keeping and cargo management. Collaboration with Essers started in November 2011. It was a very nice experience for me. The Control tower project was still a baby back then and was a good feeling to be part of something new and important. I saw the possibility from the beginning of growing professionally together with this new project. I was selected in 2012 to be part of the team of this new project called CT Security. I worked 1 year there, things were on a good track. In 2013 Gelu said, listen; I need someone to have the lead on Pharma department. Are you ready to take over this sub department? For me that was the biggest step. From supervisor to manager was a little bit easier step. I still need to learn a lot, but here I know I had Lambert full support.
  2. As I said earlier, project start was in 2010, so we celebrated 5 years of existence in November 2015. Since the beginning we had nonstop working program. As you know this was the fundamental idea of the whole project. We started with few units working for PHA only. Interesting fact: In 2011 we handled 51 thousand something alarms, in 2015 we handled more than two hundred thousand. We will go more in detail when I will present the KPI. Departments: 3   Quality is ensured by self-implemented training and evaluation program an our work instructions and procedures which later were aligned to TAPA and ISO requirements.
  3. We are covering a large field of transport sector: Intermodal, road, cross docks, warehousing and I really believe we managed to de this only because we have a professional and proactive team.
  4. Short history of CT. 2010 project start with 60 PHA units to follow, today we have more than 450 units. 2011 was the first split. Taking over a part of technical issues and fuel control and we also started to develop few the visual basic apps. CT Security in 2012 started also with our internal program. 2013 TMC was founded, preparing the ground to externalize the services.
  5. As I pointed out earlier, our value is based on the team this is why we invest in young ppl. We train and test them periodically to achieve the best possible performances. We put our standard as high as possible and we control the workload / operator ratio whit operational and management related KPI’s. For this year the goal is remained unchanged. We still want to grow in professionalism and quality. We are sure we can achieve this only with more trainings: DE language, workshops, I will have also myself 2 important trainings: ISO training related to confidentiality and Information security and a management training. We are planning to implement a for eyes principle in the office in order to prepare ourselves to external clients. Maybe you know we have already one ongoing: Syncreon: Tilburg – Istanbul (intermodal) and we will have a train follow up from China to Deutschland. We want to start to have the certifications needed to going on market (we succeed to have already few from TUV at the end of 2015) Door control project, security on train…will be a busy year for us for sure. We want to be as ready as possible for any challenge.
  6. Our constant unit of measure is the number of trips handled by us. The increasing number for me is a very satisfying thing.
