• Band saw is a saw that contains band saw blade that
rides on the two wheels rotating on the same plane.
• used for resawing or ripping lumber into thinner
slabs.
• The tooth of the band saw varies with the material to
be cut and the direction of the cut.
• For rip cuts and crosscuts in softwood , rip angle is
between 10 and 30 degree and in hardwood is 0
degree.
