that's not fully true. As our class learned more and more about the religion of Islam, the view totally changed on the religion. I chose to focus on
prayer and how it changes perspective on many of Muslims lives, Ramadan and how it changes their outlook on their own lives and lives of the poor,
and Women in Islam and what they could do or not do. The prayer system for Islamic people has much more devotion and time consuming than many
other religions. Prayer is taken seriously in Islam, many pray 5 times a day, once in the early morning, afternoon, mid–evening, sunset and late night.
The prayer is known to connect people with Allah and helps you become a better Muslim by following the five pillars of Islam. Other than the
prayer itself, they have to clean themselves before praying to their god because he is so holy that they have to clean themselves before praying to
him. The sacred of this would be how you feel when you pray to Allah and what you feel like after praying Allah. It becomes sacred by the
repetition of this action and becomes more of a daily action than a duty or being forced to pray, because they'll go out of their way to pray to Allah
and show or prove to him that they are devoted to him. This shapes the whole Muslim community and the way they act just from prayer and how it can

Although Islam is the second largest religion in the world with a following of 1.8 billion followers, no other religion has faced more scrutiny and
hardship in the past decades. This has been caused by media and governments labeling Islam as a whole with their extremist groups like Al Queda and
the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. I even thought that the principals held by these extremist group were more common in Islam than they are. After
studying Islam and gaining more information I came to respect this religion more than any other we studied this semester because of its seriousness

It is ironic that while they are based on similar scriptures, and therefore similar ideologies, Christianity and Islam have had divergent attitudes towards
the acceptance of religious minorities. By its nature, the Christian faith antagonizes other religions, including Judaism and Islam, because, according to
Christian scripture, a lack of belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ results in damnation. The Muslim faith, however, has a much more tolerant view on

extended rights and protections to religious minorities "of the book") it is stated that "[the People of the Book] must be shown gentleness (page 4)"

they pay the jizya. It states, "Their churches shall neither be used as dwellings nor destroyed... No constraint shall be exercised against them in religion

from teaching or publicly expressing their religion. Other secular restrictions (as opposed to restrictions on religious freedom expression) include "not
seek[ing] to resemble the Muslims by imitating any of their garments (page 13)" and "not sell[ing] fermented drinks," both much milder alternatives to
religious violence. Likewise, there have been instances of Christians encouraging peace towards religious minorities. For example, Saint Augustine
