6. Operations administered for the manufacturing of the vehicle included metal cutting, metal
forming, metal shaping, grinding, metal joining by welding processes like arc welding and
TIG welding, metal joining by nuts and bolts, bending, drilling and boring. Wooden fixtures
were prepared, to support the chassis before the tyre-mounting.
The electrical systems of the vehicle required a fair bit of knowledge of the electronics and
electricals.
Components of the vehicle like engine, gearbox, differential was bought from the market and
then mounted on the chassis.
Money Invested in the production of the vehicle was as follows :
Material was pre-ordered in order to compensate for any delay in the ETA of the material
from the factory. Tools were bought beforehand in order to start manufacturing as soon as
the material was delivered. Manufacturing cost mainly consists of the money paid for the
processes which required heavy machinery like bending, manufacturing of hubs,
manufacturing of gears (rack, pinion), sprockets etc.
