14. Failure of business life
One Of The Biggest Failures That Azim Premji Faced In His Business Life Was When
He Tried To Diversify Wipro's Business Interests Beyond IT Services. In The Late
1990s, He Invested Heavily In Businesses Such As Consumer Goods, Lighting, And
Healthcare, But These Ventures Did Not Yield The Desired Results. In Fact, Many Of
Them Were Losing Money And Had To Be Shut Down.
As A Result Of These Failures, Azim Premji Was Forced To Re-evaluate His Business
Strategy And Focus More On The Core It Services Business. He Divested Many Of
The Non-core Businesses And Invested Heavily In Research And Development To
Stay Competitive In The Rapidly-evolving IT Industry.
15. Another Significant Failure That Azim Premji Faced Was When He Tried To Enter
The Personal Computer Market In The Early 2000s. Wipro Launched A Range Of
Desktop And Laptop Computers Under The Brand Name "Wipro E.Go", But These
Products Failed To Gain Traction In The Market Due To Tough Competition From
Established Players Like Dell, HP, And Lenovo.
Despite These Setbacks, Azim Premji Remained Focused On His Goal Of Making
Wipro A Leading It Services Company, And His Perseverance Eventually Paid Off.
Today, Wipro Is A Multi-billion Dollar Company With A Global Presence And A
Diverse Range Of IT Services Offerings. Azim Premji's Business Acumen And
Ability To Adapt To Changing Market Conditions Have Played A Key Role In
Wipro's Success Over The Years.
