Managed all professional development of approximately 3500 associates in global and corporate functions. Headed a staff of
three direct and 11 indirect reports in the development and delivery of instructor-led technical, leadership and management
courses. Reported to Director, Talent Management and Organizational Development.
• Designed and implemented leadership development pipeline for high potential associates at all managerial levels within
Global Research & Development, Engineering & Quality and Global Operations groups. Within one cycle all projected
succession plan gaps were closed: every associate had a minimum of two ready-now successors.
• Led project teams responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring an integrated global talent
management system to cover 70,000 associates worldwide. This eliminated 10 inefficient, redundant, high maintenance
legacy programs that resulted in an estimated cost savings of $300K year over year.
• Enterprise-wide 2010 Associate Engagement Survey (AES) indicated a 69% overall approval rating of the Learning &
Development processes. Conducted focus group meetings and surveys to identify and analyze best practices and
opportunities. Developed and implemented an improvement plan that resulted in an overall approval rating of 79% in
2012 and 86% in 2014.
• Developed and implemented the Engaged Leader Development series in an effort to improve managers’ involvement in
their employees’ career development. Within three years, 250 managers completed the program and the Associate
Engagement Survey showed an overall approval rating of 76% up from the previous rating of 56%

Led and coached three training professionals and 100 part-time hourly labor trainers to provide objective-based on-the-job
learning solutions to enhance operational performance of approximately 1800 hourly associates.
• Oversaw Area Manager Leadership Development program for 60 front-line operation department supervisors.
Accelerated development of standardized work throughout the tire building process by successfully combining training
task analysis and job breakdown processes to enhance continuous improvement within the facility.
• Reduced training cycle times; accelerated time to full production rates; reduced first aid and recordable injuries during
training periods to zero; and reduced quality errors by 25%.
• Introduced the blended use of online training solutions to support and enhance Area Manager Leadership Development
program. This effort reduced training cycle times by 40% which saved approximately $72K per training cycle.

• Assessed failing operator-based maintenance process, developed solutions designed to eliminate identified barriers which
provided immediate results. Within six months, 26 employees completed the operator-based process compared to one
employee over first 24 months. Solutions became benchmark best practices throughout company.
• Collaborated with manufacturing to design/implement world class (Lean) learning solutions to enhance the operational
effectiveness of brewing, packaging and supply chain departments. This effort increased the quality of performed
preventative and predictive maintenance as shown by a 35% reduction in spare parts usage which resulted in year over
year savings of approximately $160,000.
• Managed Operations Management Trainee program and mentored and coached eight candidates through 18 month
training program. Worked closely with Corporate Talent Acquisition group to ensure high potential college graduates were
successfully recruited into the program.
