• Installation of utilities on MLK will take place on weekdays between
the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00; starting right after Thanksgiving
weekend (beginning of December)
• Saw cutting the new entrance of the garage, and paving the street will
take place towards the end of November. (Paving MLK will take place
on a Saturday daytime operation to minimize impact to traffic).

• Middle of December is anticipated start for excavation of the OPC2 site and
start working on foundations/drill piers.
• December 15th we are expecting to reroute pedestrian traffic to the east side
of OPC1, and begin work inside the lobby.

Local Business Utilization
Turner attained a 44% Local business utilization far exceeding the 35%
minimum goal as directed by CHO. This was a direct outcome of our
extensive outreach efforts which resulted in a total of 247 contractors
responding to our outreach efforts (123 submitted bids and 124 declined
to submit a bid).
Of the 123 submitted bids:
• 45 are Local firms (25 are from Oakland)
• 12 are Minority owned firms
• 6 are Women owned firms
• 12 are Small business firms
