2. Ink Tools
To start drawing, view your Draw ribbon.
If you have a Surface Pen, all you need to
draw is touch the screen with your pen to
open the Draw ribbon.
If you want to color in using your fingers on
your touch screen device OR using your
mouse - all you need to do is select the
“Draw with Touch” button on the Draw
ribbon.
To draw, select the Pen or Pencil tool. Once selected,
click the arrow to change the thickness and color of
your pen or pencil.
To draw or color under the line, choose the Highlighter
tool. Once selected, click the arrow to change the
thickness and color of your highlighter.
Use the Eraser tool to erase part or all your ink.
To select part of your ink, use the Lasso Select tool.
To select all of your ink, use the Select Objects option
from your Home Ribbon.
To assist in making smooth shapes, click on the Ink to
Shape option before drawing.
3. Face and Emotions
Draw big S and small c. Add eyebrow lines and eyes. Start with eyebrows. Two lines can change everything.
Add nose and mouth. And couple of lines for hair.
Change the mouth line to show feelings.
Change the eyes to show emotions.
4. Rabbit
Use a black pen for lines. Draw 2
lines like a big C.
Add ears, and eye and
eyebrow.
Add 2 lines for body.
Draw a tail. Add grass.
Use Highlighter to
color (change its size
for tiny places).
5. Fairy Village
Start with background. Draw plants. Draw houses with bold
and medium pens.
Draw green plants with black
outline on front. Add tiny
details with the thinnest black:
birds, windows, doors, grass,
fence.
Add windows and doors. Outline windows with white
and add clouds with thin white.
Add black outline.
6. Flower
Draw a flower center.
Draw front petals and a
few lines for them.*
Add a couple of back
petals.
Add a stem and a leaf. 1. Color with highlighter**:
main colors first
use soft grey for shadows
2. Add a white highlight
with a pen.
Draw some thin lines for details
and volume, and a lady-bird.
*You can use eraser to delete parts you don’t need or don’t like
**To reach a better result you can
change a highlighter size when coloring
7. Advanced Flower
1. Make a quick sketch with a light grey.
2. Use darker grey for darker parts and
lighter – for all the rest.
3. Use dark grey for shadows and white
for highlights.
