Caster Shift Supervisor (2008-2016)
Supervised Caster operating team, consisting of ten direct reports.
Ensured that the highest safety standards were maintained. Led numerous safety projects
to protect from liquid metal hazards on the tundish and near the ladle turret. Also
participated in the implementation of 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives.
Responsible for compliance to the production schedule and ensuring that the final product
met specific customer standards.

mentoring.
Contributed to the consistent and sustained reduction of process downtime, breakouts,
quality downgrades, maintenance breakdowns and production costs over a five year

Qualified Strand Tender and Ladleman. Helped to develop and adhered to all safety and
quality practices in reference to transferring liquid steel from the ladle to the mold.
Qualified Mechanic and Welder. Participated in maintenance activities as well as utilize
the CMMS to help ensure maintenance reliability.
Melt Shop Operator (1995–1998)
Qualified on the Melt Shop floor to maintain furnaces during the melting process
Significant refractory experience. Participated in bricking both the ladles and furnace,
also experienced with the ladle slidegate systems.
